Deck Description

Making a good little zombie deck to try and play casual. Any ideas for modification? I don't wanna splash blue. I don't like the blue side of zombies.

How to Play

try to get as many zombies out as possible. then let them multiply with endless ranks. extra creatures here and there to boost power as well as Bad Moon.

Deck discussion for Zombieland

I like to run undying evil with my zombies (just in case) and I like culling the weak on something that has undying or on a gravecrawler for a mana boost and then I just bring my creature back.

hmm. I like the idea of culling the weak. But if I lose my zombies like hunted ghoul or gravecrawler it's no big deal. The main killer here is my tokens... I just need a token factory and bad moon. The others are kinda like fodder if they need to be

I remember seeing a really good token generator with Mikaeus I think, but to pull it off you have to splash white. I could try and find it I either decked it or liked it in a deck. If your willing to splash white I'll try and track it down, let me know.

It involves
Heartless Summoning
Xathrid Necromancer
then generating 1/1 tokens that would die instantly and come back as zombies thanks to Xathrid Necromancer and then Mikaeus, the Unhallowed bumping their power back up. Kinda complex but it was food for thought.

I know you said you don't like the blue for zombies, but you should consider splashing for undead alchemist, spectral flight, and grimgrin. people forget, but grimgrin is insane in a zombie shell with undying and gravecrawlers, and then undead alchemist is insane for generating tokens. I know this isn't standard so I'm not too much help because I don't know the meta, but I used to run u/b zombies and I remember mortar pod being extremely useful as well. Oh, and if you put in undead alchemists, as I think you should, bump up cemetery reaper to a 4 of because it's instantly way better.

Hope this helps, zombies are so fun!

If you want to keep it mono black, might i suggest Diregraf Ghoul instead Hunter Ghoul? same mana cost but 2/2 sure she comes in tapped but she can block humans. Also going off the above post, if you don't want to splash blue Fallen Ideal is a good black enchantment that will give you to evasion as well as sacking some gravcrawlers to buff up the enchanted creature. But Grimgrin only is totally worth splashing in a little blue, plus Levitation. Check my deck out with some blue.
