Hmm, that seems more like a combo way to play the deck. Unfortunately, I want to try to keep this deck within the Modern format. Thank you for your feedback, though! :)
But how many?! D:
I think you might be going somewhere with this, sir. I believe that I am going to change this deck into a Grixis Control deck, as I'll probably just use Mizzium Mortars over Supreme Verdict, and Think Twice over Azorius Charm. However, I'm going to keep the Nephalia Drownyards, as their use as a win condition is still outstanding.
I also thought the same thing, but Wurmcoil is easily blocked, and even though he gains me a lot of life, that doesn't deal with the problem of Poison. Grave Titan makes a large threatening position on the board quickly with his zombies. Thanks for the input!
I really, really like this deck! Being a lover of White Weenie, I really appreciate how this deck runs and wins. I'm not a huge fan of Guardian's Pledge, however. Perhaps instead of getting your creatures into +2/+2, you could run Oblivion Ring to get rid of your opponent's pesky creatures?
More changes. -3 Blade Splicer, +3 Accorder Paladin Now it's ALL humans.
Wow, you guys have been very helpful! Here's some changes I'll be putting. -3 Mentor of the Meek, +3 Mirran Crusader -1 Ghost Quarter, +1 Plains -3 Spectral Rider, +3 Hero of Bladehold I'll be looking into Grand Abolisher, as well as the extra Fiend Hunter. I may just put the hunter into my sideboard.
Hmm. If this is a lifegain deck, perhaps Ajani's Pridemate would be an excellent addition to this deck. It gives you a solid win condition, especially if you're gaining life from different places.
Hmm. This looks...overzealously motivated toward killing things until you place a bomb. But what happens when your own bomb gets removed? I think the bonehoards are a really awesome touch, and you should run a playset if you're going for this much removal. My suggestions are: -3 Hideous End, +3 Vampire Hexmage, -1 Steel Hellkite, +2 Grave Titan, -1 Diabolic Tutor. I have also recently made a black deck if you'd like to look at it. It's called Mono-Black "Control".
Yaaaaaay~! :D Any thoughts on what to take out for Rite of Replication?
The thing I'm noticing about the standard format as of late is how fast it is. People in my area are caught up in Elves or Red, and no one's really playing the eldrazi generals anymore. That's why I figured I could get away with making a mill deck. Hmm...Leyline of the Void would be sweet, but the black allies are rubbish.
Ooh. Maybe instead of Contagion Engine, you could slap Mr Skythrix the Blight Dragon in there. He infects nicely.
Temple Bell is for when my opponent has no cards to discard, and I need another card to use. But perhaps.
What, no Battlesphere?
Um! Question! Instead of going Mono-black, why not throw in some white? You could easily play Blinding Mage, Vectis Dominator, and Sunblast Angel then, and other fun cards such as Repel the Darkness, which taps up to TWO of your opponent's monsters. Other than that, seems like a fun and odd way to play magic. :D
Looks like a good deck. Should wreck face if done right.
Hmm. So many mountains. Why not throw in Valakut just to be a prick, too? Also, stealing your opponent's biggest creature with Act of Treason and flinging them is funny, too.
Yeah. It was hard, though. Blue just seems to slow this deck down even more, which is something I really do NOT need. Red/Black is working just fine for now...but I might try Grixis later. Edits (Sideboard): -1 Doom Blade, -1 Pithing Needle, +2 Destructive Force
Ooookay. Thanks for your comment, but I'm going for Standard. If this was extended, then that would be awesome.
