Bored of using your own cards? Tired of using the same strategy with your deck every single match? Instead, why don't you try using your opponents cards?!? Presenting the Norin Troll Deck that is guaranteed to put a smile on everybody else's face (exempt your opponent, of course)...Here's how this works: you steal opponents' creatures and use them to attack. If there aren't creatures to steal, you'll burn your opponents instead. Surprisingly, it's a very formidable deck against similar-priced decks...***Credit is due to other players (before me) that had the Norin + Confusion concept. This is my attempt at perfecting the idea.***
Pretty simple:Norin the Wary + Confusion in the Ranks = HILARITYBeginning:Get out Norin and mana ramp up to 5 lands using Cultivate. Manamorphose is there to play Cultivate if Forests/dual lands are lacking. Mizzium Mortars and Slagstorm help clear the field. Mid-term:Play Confusion in the Ranks, sit back, and enjoy. Glitterfang gets you extra creatures. If your opponent has one creature and you'd like to attack, play Archwing Dragon first (switch with opponent) and then Glitterfang to get Archwing Dragon back. Once your opponent begins to run out of creatures and the field is clear, attack!Late game:Lightning Serpent (if your opponent is out of creatures) and Banefire (paying 6 or more) are your kill cards. Use them wisely! If Confusion in the Ranks is destroyed, play another or focus on burn. Lightning Serpent and Banefire are fantastic cards in this regard, especially Banefire.Moment's Peace is there to save your ass at least twice. However, if the odds are in your favor, you could play it for 2 just to play a spell, thereby triggering Norin's ability.Sidenote:If you'd like the deck to meet Modern standards, Moment's Peace has to go. Substitute with another Fog-type card. Not sure how many other than Fog are out there. One is Druid's Deliverance, but it's not as useful in this deck.One-on-One seems to work well, so long as the opponent's deck isn't ridiculously expensive. Have not tried with Two-Headed Giant yet...Have fun and thanks for your interest!
