Green/Red Undying Budget Deck--most cards come from the Monstrous Surprise Intro Deck (Dark Ascension), which focuses on the undying mechanic. Creatures with undying come back with +1/+1 after they die if they do not previously have +1/+1 counters--this makes creatures difficult to destroy, especially early-to-mid-game.
Extremely fun, especially for a BUDGET deck... and a pretty nice looking mana curve.Step 1: get Young Wolf and Strangleroot Geist out early; Ulvenwald Tracker and Prey Upon utilize the undying mechanic to your advantage, especially early gameStep 2: use Pyreheart Wolf's ability to keep your opponents from blocking, use Fling to remove opponent's creatures (with the undying mechanic, your sacrificed creatures return with a +1/+1 counter); play Rampant Growth to accelerate your manaStep 3: when you encounter Pacifism or something similar, you can sacrifice your creature if you have Rage Thrower, Skirsdag Cultist, or Scorched Rusalka out on the field; play Wild Hunger from your hand or from the graveyard (flashback) to gain trample and +3/+1 for target creatureStep 4: after you've kept your opponent at bay, play the cards that will win the game--Flayer of the Hatebound, Lumberknot, Overrun, or Gutter GrimeDeck's weaknesses: No way to gain life (sideboard: Bountiful Harvest)No defense against flying (sideboard: green card instants with flying defense)Not a lot of removal (sideboard: red card instants with "deal X damage to target creature or player," there are plenty out there...)
