Deck Description

Kor + equipment. Hookmaster and skyfisher are board control, armor master and duelists are early heat and the conqueror's pledge is the kill condition once their shit is tapped down.

This will lose to combo decks probably, and there's a slight chance fog could outrace it at the end. Having those duelists and the tokens will be where the damage comes from, there might be enough in there to outrace some decks. I think this will do reasonably against large beatdown (that isn't a complete jund deck), even against other white weenies and probably awfully against control. Hopefully I can get the whispersilk out in time to protect my armament masters, but honestly it's unlikely to be reliable considering the mana cost to play and equip. Mostly, brave the elements is broken good and will win games while the rest of my cards do some stuff idk. I played a portion of this deck in draft once, which is where I got the idea from, turn 4 I had two duelists and an armament master all equipped with random stuff and swung for 16. Granted that was god hand vs. an opponent who drafted no removal, but I feel like playsets will make that scenario just as likely in an actual game.

I don't play competitively, but for my own edification what decks would absolutely stomp this and why? I'm quickly getting absorbed into the metagame of this infernal hobby, any knowledge I can siphon is appreciated.


Edit 12/20: Changed a few cards to make it a deck I can actually justify paying for. Added some control, BTE doubles as a kill if I can hang onto it while I get the masters and equip set up.

I don't really see a point in the fetch lands. i run Emeria, The Sky Ruin in my soldier deck.

/shrug, thins the deck. They aren't necessary but they aren't detrimental either. Thanks for the tip on emeria.

You could find put those lands to good use and get some adventuring gears for your armament master.
They're cheap to equip and quite useful.

Might want to look into getting things like bone saw and bone splitter. Low cost equips... they're equips nevertheless. You also have a very VERY small amount of mana..... Just sayin.

Having since put this deck together, it's rather mediocre. The cards aren't that great on their own, and if I don't draw a duelist, armament master and at least one equipment the deck is too slow.

It will probably still be fun casually though, I hope.
