I would narrow down that list and run 3 or 4 each of the best slivers you can find. You could probably eliminate some of the colors altogether that way as well. Increasing the card redundancy and reducing the number of colors (or getting a bunch of ridiculous lands) is a good way to ensure consistency from game to game. On the other hand, some people choose to play decks that have wide variation to keep things interesting and random. Your choice!
Having since put this deck together, it's rather mediocre. The cards aren't that great on their own, and if I don't draw a duelist, armament master and at least one equipment the deck is too slow. It will probably still be fun casually though, I hope.
Magic: The Rathering! starring Dan Rather.
Well, this appears to be a $1,000 deck. Impressive.
not only can you have 4 of each card in a given deck, it is most often best to have 4. There are certainly exceptions, but usually playing a full set of 4 is the way to go. It increases the chances of drawing that particular card, which is especially crucial if you have a deck that relies on at least minor combos or redundant buffs. For example, the cinderhaze wretch and cytospawn shambler work really well together, but the wretch isn't really that great unless you have a source of counters like the shambler to combo with. I wouldn't necessarily recommend running either to be honest, but if you want to use cards like that they're more effective in playsets. In a deck with so many colors, mana fixing becomes crucial. I would advocate for fewer basic lands and more fetches or multi-colored nonbasic lands.
Intimidation Bolt is also an option. Might help out against aggro while you wait for your beef to get in play.
Harrow and the new fetch lands work better than the spells you have there now I believe, if only because your opponents don't also get land. It's less of an overall land gain but you also don't grant them landfall triggers. Lotus cobra might also be really nice to have to accelerate the beef out of your hand. Pretty brutish deck, looks fun.
/shrug, thins the deck. They aren't necessary but they aren't detrimental either. Thanks for the tip on emeria.
Great ideas, thanks for the comments dudeskis
yeah I never know how large to make decks. Is 60 a good idea for something like this?
