on average you're dealing leathal by turn 3 or 4. if you're struggling however this version allows you to rebuild momentum after this point.

overrun isn't good....by the time you're able to cast it you shouldve won... and m11 rotates when the next set releases in October.
turn 1: memnite, memnite/ornithopter, mox opal, copperline gorge,, signal pest, rebirth a ornithopter/memnite...(field= 3 gobs, memnite, signal pest at 5 creatures.) turn 2: land, signal pest, kick a bushwhacker, swing for 24... turn 3: if u haven't won, cast an ascension or refill your hand or keep throwing down creatures... (this is a scenario of an extremely good hand)
i changed my mind slightly on the titan forge. i think it may be a good 1-of in the essence of providing the possibility of larger dudes earlier. but with the tokens having no abilities to twist the game i feel the other big dudes from before are a better goal to attain. i also found room in the deck for the fore-mentioned lux cannons. i cut all 3 lightning bolts for 2 cannons and a forge. i don't think the bolts were as necessary as the replacements seeing as the new meta will be u/b and u/w for the most part and the bolts are really set to contain aggro decks which i side pyroclasm for. i plan to do some testing with the new changes.
im afraid that surge node has the potential to be a dead card and titan forge just doesn't fit the synergies of this deck well enough. however i really like the proposal of lux cannon. my deck lacks in definite removal so if you have any suggestions as to where i could squeeze a couple of them it would be appreciated.
wheres sarkhan?
yes, i usually go 3/2 or 4/1
viscera is amazing! and the mark is a good combo i use, but i really like attacking with a bloodghast and a blade strapped seer then after combat sac the ghast for a little more advantage with the tutelage and counter gain on the seer and dropping a land to get him back. thats what makes him so strong. and with the deck only having 3 hard red sources, gatekeeper is perfectly useful. especially against another black deck as u mentioned.
is this a copy of LSV's deck?
Nice.
i might sideboard spell pierce. i know your thinking that its horrible, Why would anyone play that card? but its awesome to tap all but 1 mana against superfriends and people are like oka, no mana leak or negate so they tap out to cast a mind sculptor. BAM throw down a spell pierce and they look like an idiot. just my opinion for a sneak in counter that everyone throws out early.
thanks
T2.
i would though in student of warfare of kabira vindicator for a higher creature count.
i mean gelatinous genesis...
i used this combo with eldrazi in the sideboard and spawnsire main deck. also gelatinous ooze is good infinite finisher.
lol. yea. it worked out better. its more of an insurance policy though.
lol. yes it would! but its not needed here. with a nihil quest out your opponent is as good as dead.
doesnt look bad, but if your not on a budget, go ahead and get some gaea's revenge and vengevines. i would cut garruk to 3. also maybe some terra stompers against control. :)
i like the gem idea too. with the gem you only need 4 lands (2 islands) in play as opposed to 6 without it.
