The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Ally deck, it's quick and loves to watch stuff die.

Mimic Vat is an odd choice, especially when youre not planning on sticking anything important in your graveyard. But Hagra Diabolist and Bala Ged Thief are better than i think you realize. Hagra can cut their life in half on a good turn and the Thief gives you valuable intel on the content of their hand (the discard is an added bonus). I would drop the Vats and a Brigand for 2 more Diabolist and 2 more Thiefs. This is my W/G Allies deck. All allies are legit, but i prefer W/G aggro to the others. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=258958

For sure, this is a buddy's deck I put up to play around with, he wants some help improving it. Personally I run a B/W Ally deck, Kabira Evangel is ridiculously good. For this deck I agree with you, I like the Diabolist and Theif, but the idea behind the Mimic Vat is being able to continue playing Allies even if you aren't drawing them from the deck. Is there a much more efficient card to do this with? (Door of Destinies isn't incredibly important in this deck, could prolly be replaced with an extra Diabolist and Theif)
White and Blue have a bunch of bounce spells like Otherworldly Journey, Into the Roil, Sudden Disappearance (BEST ALLY CARD EVER) and the powerful Venser, the Sojourner (spam his +2 ability, get the emblem, get back to spamming). I would have a W/B Ally deck just for him, but White and Blue really aren't my speed. For Red/Black, tho, your choices for bounce are severely limited. Mimic Vat works if the right creature dies (bouncing a Diabolist is way better than, say, a Brigand), so i can see where you're coming from, but the trick is the right creature has to die. It would take some careful set up. I agree, the Doors are slightly superfluous, so i would drop them and 1 brigand for 2 Diabolists and a thief.
