Curiously, it does not have thoughtsseize, despite being considered the best discarder card. But this is correct, since thoughtseize will make sure you discard the card of your interest, whatever the type, since you only have one attempt. But in a pure discard deck, this is the last concern since you will undoubtedly get your opponent's hand discarded. Here, The problems we have in discard decks are two:1st- When the player has enough mana, he does not need to keep cards in hand, he can play them in the same turn that he drawn it.2nd- While we are discarding, the opponent is playing creatures, that are attacking us. Ensnaring Bridge is good for this. This is why Smallpox is important, in a single card it slows down the opponent by taking away a land, so it delays the first problem, and at the same time we may achieve discard a card and eliminate a creature.Raven's Crime is good because allow us don't waste card stocks with other discard cars like duress, kozilek, thoughtseize... if our discard cards are not enough (in number), we only have to discard a land card to play it again. Funeral Charm is good because, when the opponent don't have card in hand, we can use to destroy any creature. So, it is a great card in our deck. The problem with this deck is to draw discards cards in the mid game. For example, to draw a Hymn to tourach in the fourth turn will be a dead card for us, an useless card. For this reason, we include Contagion, to make use of these cards drawn in mid-game when the opponent don't need to keep cards in his hand
