Deck Description

*** Update 2011-12-02 ***
After playtesting this I've modified it quite a bit. Moste of the reanimation spells have been changed from sorceries to enchantments with cost 3 or less to be able to pick them up from the graveyard with the Sun Titan (which has also been added). The looters are gone (too slow) and are replaced with careful study. Putrids are gone. Glimpse are added. Also added better dual lands. It's a shitload more expensive now, which goes against my original ideals, but I't plays like a charm =). I'm really satisfied with the current build. Any inputs?

The idea is to use the merfolks in combination with the dredge cards to get the self-milling going. Then just bring back the bad guys with any of the re-animation cards and.... BANG!

And no, I don't plan to add any entombs even though they would fit the deck, because they are to damn expensive. I've tried to keep the deck affordable, and it can get even cheaper by replacing some of the bad guys with cheaper bad guys.

I haven't playtested the deck yet, but I'm eager to try! =)

Deck discussion for Merfolk Reanimator

nice idea. I would add some sort of graveyard tutoring, to assure that your reanimate spells doesnt end in the graveyard. You could also play dread return

I might still have some balancing to do, it's not playtested yet. I doubt I will add any graveyard tutoring since I would just be searching for reanimation anyway, and in that case I might as well add some more reanimation spells. Dread return is a good suggestion, I'll consider that. I'm grateful for any input =)

It's now playtested and tuned, and I must say, it works better than expected! It's very nice to play gin on turn two or terastodon on turn 3 to destroy all lands of the opponent =)
