Of course we all have no lives... BUT this will give you plenty of life! why not gain twice as much life! Enchant this Enchant that! put counters and totem armor on your creatures!
start out with regular creatures and try to put those umbras on it! then throw out some planeswalkers , but the main event! wait for it... (drum roll) Felidar Sovereign is the star of the show! thats all you need to win is 40 or more life! thats easy!

Damn it looks good. Maybe more Pridemates?
yeah i probably should put more in, but i wouldn't know what to switch them out with.
Maybe Moths?
yeah ill put moths on the sideboard
really like it a lot, maybe another ajani? the new version? he is so good
Cool use of the new Ajani. Bioshift might be good to save your counters, maybe sideboard material for going against a lot of black removal or red burn.
yeah i put some in my sideboard, but thats also why i have some dauntless escorts! but thanks for the feedback!
I would also recommend swapping one of the new Ajanis for Caller of the Prides version.
eh thats why i have storm herd for that, plus storm herd makes them flying
Nice deck man! Love how quick Ajani ramps up. What about serra avatar? If you've got the life you may as well throw out a giant angel right? All around a sweet deck though!
but also thats a reason why i put storm herd in to put X 1/1 because that pretty much does the samething without worrying that it will be killed
Yeah Storm herd is a good alternative. I would always rather have 5 1/1s than 1 5/5 cause threre's a lot more destroy creatures than there are board wipes. Good decision on your part.
the only thing that is stopping me from adding serra avatar is that i have no way of populating it, so like what you said, would be easier to destroy than 5 1/1's
You could throw in growing ranks, but it would change the theme of the deck. I think storm herd is a better option for you.
yeah gaining life and taking names!
i also just looking through my deck, i found out that Ajani Goldmane's -6 ability is literally the same thing as a Serra avatar! Best of both worlds!!!!!!!
Or you could put a Gideon, Champion of Justice in here and be secure in knowing that your opponent won't be attacking you!
Can you check out my deck for advice. Angelic Destiny or any of my decks please. Want to make them stronger and faster. Thank you.
Alright, here's my 2 cents:Let's start with the obvious. Take out Barren Blessing; you are trying to win by satisfying Felidar Sovereign with lifegain. Since he costs so much, he is obviously the last card in the combo you will play. Now, onto deck streamlining! My favorite part! Everyone has to do it; Northern is the only player I have met who can make decks darn near perfect without revision. Let's refine the deck's strategy and make the deck leaner and meaner. (We will take care of that abominable mana curve later). You stated this is a life gain deck. There are multiple ways to approach this. PURE lifegain - either in order to pump your enchantments and creatures, or gain so much life the enemy CAN'T kill you, is more of a mono-white thing. I think you should use it to give yourself breathing room (you are able to let guys not be blocked, like if they have deathtouch) and make your opponents think twice about attacking, since this strategy works best with green. It also combos well with the unstated theme of indestructibility you having going. Secondly, you like enchantments. So free yourself and use more than one of each! This will also make the deck more consistent. Therefore, this is now an enchantment deck! Let's get down to it then.Creatures (keep in mind that you want 8 1-mana creatures, and only 4 6-mana creatures. This rule is readily broken, but stick with it, since this is a traditional because it's green-white. your main problem here is a few creatures that don't fit your theme and too few starting creatures.Fleecemane Lion - cut it! it's too expensive with the monstrosity ability, and it doesn't benefit from enchantmentsKrond the Dawn Clad - cut it! only 1 6 mana creature, and that's Felidar SovereignSigarda Host of Herons - cut it! again, it's 5 mana, and you must lower your mana curve.Wilt leaf liege - oh man are you going to not like my advice here, but cut her. You need that 4-mana slot for other things, and you don't have many multicolored permanents you will be keeping. =(.Dauntless escort - tough call, but he's history. Instants will take his place.Elderwood Scion - mana cost again ... he's gone.Ah .. feel all that breathing room?Add Deadly Recluse. A good spider, with deathtouch. Just wait till he is stroner =)Rhox Faithmender - it's a REALLY nice card, but ... you aren't here for pure lifegain. This is a tough call, but you might have to cut it. With green, you want to think about blocking enemies, not just RAMPING up your health. He's a card specialized for pure lifegain decks, which yours is not. =(. On the other hand, now you have room for ... Ajani's Chosen! Hehehe .... let the enchantments rain from the sky!Goldenglow moth - It looks cute now, but wait until it reaches BEEFY levels.Alright, to summarize, you now have 18 creatures.3 Anjani's Pridemate3 Felidar Sovereign3 Serra Ascendent3 Goldenglow Moth3 Deadly Recluse3 Anjani's ChosenNow let's back these dudes up with some sick enchantments!Umm.... most of your enchantments cost a lot. You want a load of cheap ones.Let's just keep Felidar, Hyena, and Rancor.Bring in Forced Adaptation, and Trollhide Armor.Viola! Aim for 15 spells. For artifacts, consider inflitrator's lens or skullclamp for card draw, 3 of one or the other.Just have the instant Rest for the Weary x4.You don't have much space for a planeswalker.Well, just add some removal. Crushing Vines will work nicely. Bring 3!20 lands. That's 70 cards! Oh no ... now just slim this down to 60 by taking out 10 cards (choose wisely), and you are golden!
Just a massive suggestion =). Don't feel pressured to do anything!
i thank you for the HUGE suggestion! most i will tweak, but some ill keep, just cause not much for tokens but more for lifegain to win the game for felindar sovereign
There are some decent green life gain cards that pair very nicely with white. If you find yourself in a jam to where your green is heavily outweighed by white. There's always predators rapport ( which I've gained around 100 life points with numerous times), bountiful harvest is nice but more of late game save your @$$ kind of card. Then there's always the roaring primadox/ Nyleas disciple combo.
i put some bow of Nylea to help out alot, thanks a million! no deck is absolute, but every deck can be tweaked! i appreciate the help alot.
and to you abcdefu96, that is a defintite possibility, but it wouldn't do me much good since i have mutliple things giving me life, but i may need it in the near future!
If you ever decide to build a R/G monster deck those work really well. Especially with xenagod.
yes they do! repeat the process till you win!
I like you guys. I will give you a look at what I have been working on. http://www.mtgvault.com/knightofthehokeypokey/decks/it-jace-2/
Oh, and if you like bow of Nylea, look st this:Vampire Nighthawk + Thornbite Staff
yeah not bad, ill check out your jace deck, your not bad yourself KnightoftheHokeyPokey!
knightofthehokeypokey! I have a deck with that strategy! You should check out my shaman deck under the username Kruphix!
Take it further and include [Tablet of the Guilds]. If you have multiple multicolored cards, 2 life per cast :)
yeah but there isn't much for multicolor, plus its only 1 life gained, id be needing more than just one life gained, but not bad though, Thanks!
Cool deck.
This deck wants Sunbond.
yes thanks! ill throw that in!
This deck wants Angelic Accord.
throw in a couple of archangel of thune as well to take advantage of the life gain, it will boost it so much
If this is going for an enchantment theme, like KnightoftheHokeyPokey said, I would definitely suggest Ethereal Armor. One-drop that gives your creature +1/+1 for every enchantment you control. Trust me, it stacks pretty damn fast.
That's a good suggestion. If can enchant lifelink onto your creatures, pop Ethereal Armor and Felidar Umbra onto Student of Warfare or Fabled Hero or Mirran Crusader. Double strike = double the fun! Hopeful Eidolon and other enchantment-creatures are nice as well.
Have you checked out Wall of Reverence? Getting life on a turn by turn basis just for having on the field has made it one of my favorite lifegain cards, not to mention it's an excellent 1/6 flyer (with defender, it is a wall) to keep opposing creatures from getting through to your life total, not to mention it works excellently with Ajani's Pridemate, which for some reason i notice are not on your list. Also if you're looking for card advantage check out Well of Lost Dreams
i through in a wall of reverence
pls look at this deckhttp://www.mtgvault.com/xxxeleshnornxxx/decks/the-new-infinite-turns-combo/
Could anyone spare the time to have their mind blown by an Izzet deck?http://www.mtgvault.com/knightofthehokeypokey/decks/it-jace-2/
Chalice of life bro
thanks i added one in there
I still think you should focus on 2 or 3 enchantments, instead of having 8 of them with 1 card for each.
which enchantments do you think i should focus on?
well, you already have rhox faithmender, so do you really need boon reflection? it is a bit expensive at 5 mana when you already have a creature that does the same thing. felidar umbra is useful, particularly because you can swap it between different creatures. hyena umbra is fantastic, but I think that (as suggested above) ethereal armor is way better. so perhaps swap those? unless you have it in here strictly for the Totem armor, and protection that it gives. in which case... then I would suggest upping the number of hyena umbras that you have, and dropping the most expensive stuff like (and I hate saying this) celestial mantle. just too expensive. 6 mana, and it isn't a game winning card, because your goal isn't really to deal damage with this deck, or to even attack with it.collective blessing is good, but again it is really expensive. I played with a selesnya populate deck and had... 2 (I think) in it, but I rarely got them out because of the mana cost. that is another one to think about dropping.Rancor: Now normally I would say to run as many of these as you can. but again, the goal of this deck isn't really to beat your opponent by attacking them. it doesn't gain you life or draw you cards so... yeah... :(in fact, most of your enchantments don't gain you life or draw for you.I would suggest trying to find some other cheap enchantments to do either of those , and they would suit this deck better than most of what you have in the main board. at least that's my opinion. not that you have BAD cards in here, they just seem to be a bit... contradictory? perhaps?
Thanks for backing me up man! I agree with you, mcards must be cheaper and better fitted to the deck. Eidolon of Countless Battles would be very nice. Low CMC lifelink: Knight of Meadowgrain, Lifelink, Basilisk Collar, Felidar Umbra, and Hopeful Eiolodon.
yeah i threw in a hyena umbra and cheaper enchantments like armadillo armor
jhaiisiin has deleted this comment.
You may want to consider Celestial Mantle as an enchantment for this. Also, tossing in a Rogue's Passage or two to make the occasional unblockable creature wouldn't go amiss.
Or a Brave the Elements. =).
I would take out Boon Reflection, Bow of Nylea, Wilt-Leaf Liege and Collective Blessing maybe. Then I would add Wall of Reverence, it works very well with Ajani Goldmane's ultimate, as it basically doubles your life every turn.
yeah thats why i have boon reflection, rhox faithminder and beacon of immortatlity
I don't like cards like boon reflection or beacon of immortality because they only gain you life and are boring to play. Just my 2 cents.
yeah i definitely added wall of reverence
Hey, turn that life into fun!Angelic AccordPersonal Incarnation (Instead of Felidar Sovereign to make the game so much more interesting, especially if you get lifelink onto him)
Wow. So many auras... * thinks of aura Gnarlid.*. But it would fit here I don't think. This is a good looking deck though. :)
thanks, its a great idea, but its more a aggressive life gain deck. but thanks!
Like I said,I don't think it would fit. But it reminds me of decks that it could go into.
3x Doubling Season over Collective Blessing and Heroes Reunion?
well heroes reunion is just cheap, cant argue 2 mana 7 life, but ill get rid of collective blessing for doubling season
personally I would say to take rest for the weary over heroes reunion. but that is my opinion. 1W t ocast, gain 4 life, if you had landfall that turn you gain 8 life instead. but both cards are good. :)
Wow, False Cure deck would probably be the only thing i could think to counter this lol i didnt know the journey into nyx cards were on here yet thats cool you have the new ajani in the list
yea the new ajani is like 20$!!
Give it some time, it'll go down.
yeah, luckily i haven't purchased anything yet.
He'll even out around 10 or so.
Lol, if this deck went up against an Izzet deck ... we'd all be here a long time.
yes we would. it would be a definite 50/50 chance of who wins. probably by luck of the draw literally would be the victor
*thinks he is being avoided...* I really do think that this is an interesting deck, which is strange because I don't like straight up life gain decks. My only real issue here is that you have lots o mana heavy cards, and those tend to be to slow to work well, or unplayable. particularly for white, because it really doesn't have much mana ramp, which you have none of here, no mana producing creatures, no search cards that aren't themselves fairly expensive (and multicolored). it just seems very slow. but what do I know. I don't play much life gain. :(
yeah thats why i threw in the selesnyan god, but i might throw in some mystic elves or something, but i threw in shock lands
Shock lands are good, buy they don't accelerate the about of land you have. They just make sure that you have the right color. :) mystic elves are good. Birds of paradise would be good as well.
http://www.mtgvault.com/mmmjkx2/decks/33-repopulate-humans/ its a green/white deck with life gain maybe you can steal an idea or two.
O7 Creature Tokens + Battle Cry + True Conviction = Good Times.
You might like armadillo cloak. You gain life seperate from lifelink, and if you have two armadillo cloaks on the same creature you gain life twice. All because of wording and technicalities.
Pretty sure it has been erratad. I have the Phyrexia vs the coalition deck version and it says enchanted creature has lifelink.
Nope, the duel deck version, archenemy and invasion all say the same thing.
I will have to look at the official ruling, because even though the text stayed the same, I think that it got erratad and now means the same thing as life link.
Nice Deck man! Thanks for posting on mine, and thanks for the suggestion on the angels mercy, appreciated
yup no problem!
Hahaha! I have a deck almost exactly like this at my house! the archetype of courage should be in the sideboard, and doubling season is a good card, but not really what you need in this deck. It mainly just works with like 3 different cards here. :P But I do like this deck a lot!
Take out Sol Ring and Armadillo Cloak and this is modern. If you want the cloak you could always use Unflinching Courage instead.
needs more fiendslayer paladin
07 Agreed (or Knight of Meadowgrain
ageless entity maybe?
