I am wondering if a artifact deck may work. I am wondering if anyone can tell me about what Legacy is like. I also wish to know what cards might be great for one. I'll post tomorrow the deck.

battered golem doesnt seem that good to me, i dont know much about artifacts but ornithopters are good for defense i guess and darksteel colossus and stuffy doll can be combo-ed with nicely quicksilver amulet or elvish pipers summon darksteel fast and use overblaze and lava burst on stuffy doll, look around for those decks it might help tezzeret is a planeswalker based on artifacts, hope i helpedd check out my deckk too.

hey macandcheese i will be glad to help lets start with the color, or colors. typically an artifact deck (a good one) has either no color, blue, or blue and other colors. in my opinion unless its a modular deck or a extremly expensive black lotus deck, you need blue. in fact, if you dont already know, there are artifacts that have color, mostly from the shards of alara block i dont know why you would want very many legacy cards; i like the mirrodin block and the alara block artifacts better so, if we go with blue, the top cards for an artifact deck of blue are: master of etherium etherium sculptor now that we have some straight artifact cards, that are extremely good, lets think about what kind of artifact deck to make it. you may choose to go your own way, but i like a good strong deck with big creatures that come into play fast also id take out battered golem so like alexx says, id go with two darksteel colossus, and dont worry about the mana cost (youl see why when you look at the next card) then id go with 4 master transmuter, they are easy to kill, but they are better then elvish piper (like alexx said) for the fact that they are blue and they are artifacts. so you might read the master transmuters ablilty and be like, "gosh, i have to return an artifact to my hand, and thats bad" but that is not always bad. esspesially if you put in 4 seat of the synod. these are simple lands that are basicly islands but are artifacts, too. returning them to your hand is no biggy so now you might be like, "gosh what are the chances of getting a darksteel colosuss and a master transmuter in my hand?!" well lets fix that id go with fabricate. maybe 2 or 3. its a simple card that is ok for an artifact deck now id also think about another color. black you can get some nice artifact black cards, as well as black/blue since we have only 2 or 3 fabricate, id put in 3 additional sphinx summoner, which is simmilar id also go with 4 vault of whispers, which is the artifact swamp land, like seat of the synod now im realizing that black doesnt do to well without white in an artifact deck, so we will add white. it will be a 3 color deck. do not worry, their are plenty of lands to fix the mana problem. such as 4 ancient den (the artifact plains) 4 arcane sanctum and however many vivid marsh, vivid creek, and vivid meadow you want; we will see later how much land we will need so now for other good cards. scourglass ethersworn canonist tezzeret the seeker now we will put in high costing cards, but with the transmuters and sculptors it shouldnt be a problem (i own i deck just like this one, come to think of it, and it works pretty well) so these cards are: sharuum the hegemon enigma sphinx (by the way, with master transmuter, returning these two cards to your hand and playing them over and over again will be extremely helpful) Sphinx Sovereign Sphinx of the Steel Wind Sen Triplets (by the way, sen triplets will be useful because of the vivid lands i mentioned earlier, because you can play all colors) Filigree Angel (maybe this one, idk, i dont have one in the deck i own, but their OK) magister sphinx (same with this one, might be useful, and might not, too. id put it in your side board) 3 Ethersworn Adjudicator (very usefull) now i think thats enough big guys, but we dont need to many more cards. id go with a few tidehollow strix, which are very very good and annoying to play against. they can attack for lots of damage, or block a 9/9 with flying and kill it maybe a few tidehollow sculler also. they can be useful now im thinking the fabricate arnt that great compared to tinker. however, if you ever make this deck in real life, it would be very hard to get your hands on one. they are like $20 each i thinks thats just about it. you can play around with all the suggestions i gave and deside the numbers of each card, i guess ill look tomorow to see how it went i also saw you already had a deck simmilar to this one on your profile, so i hope all this didnt just go to waste i think i bought my deck that was like this for a total of about $60 or $70, so its not that expensive of deck, compared to some of my other ones =) by the way, for more deck ideas check cardkingdom.com and for low prices on magic cards check channelfireball.com plz check out all my decks and comment on them to try and help me, too see ya around the site -tomathan88
now that i look at your other deck more closely, i see that it is kinda simmilar but not really i like the idea of the darksteel forge, so maybe one or two of those probably one but definatly none of these cards: Sanctum Plowbeast Cloudheath Drake Sanctum Gargoyle Glassdust Hulk Metallurgeon Ethercaste Knight although they appear to be good, they arent that great i remember i always thought metallurgeon was good, but i found out if wasn't that great in an agro stompy deck if you put in any, only one because this is agro and i guess the decks arent that simmilar because mine has black too -Tomathan88
by the way i know its alot to read but if you just read it in steps it shouldn't be that bad =) again plz help with my decks, too, esspecially my Devine City deck, im thinking of buying it soon. -Tomathan88
i know this is extended but still for some inspiration u might wanna check out the artifact deck here (affinity) http://wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/td/70. to make sure u can untap that guy Aura of Dominion could help. Energy Tap might be a way to boost your mana there, play another artifact from your hand and do that over and over. i duno, just try and find some ways to actually gain something from tapping him that helps playing artifacts which again untap and so on. could be a pretty neat deck if u do it right. gl with it ;)
oh and Mycosynth Lattice makes it way easier to play artifacts all the time and also removes any troubly with manascrewing u might have :P
