Excited for Ravnica Allegiances, and can't wait any longer. So this is Rakdos or Red/Black and so to me this just means straight up cancer. your burning your opponent, sucking the life out of him, and for the chemotherapy he either let's you draw or like cancer you eat more at his life. This is a terrible deck, so terrible that many will question all there life choices on either playing it and feeling like an @$$hole or on the receiving end and you're left wondering why life is so short.
Like cancer, this deck can kill quick or long. Some might ask why the weird combination of creatures but all will make sense. Your first couple of turns your gonna use Neonate, electrostatic field, Viashino for your early damages. Always risk factor before sword-point but both combo well with the deck. Though most agro/ burn types want the game to end early, you're actually not to worried to go long with this deck either. Play out everything but do your plays smart, unless everything goes horribly wrong, if your opponent is at 4 life or less by turn 5-7, you've won 99 time out of a 100. If you haven't never fear, Lich's matery is here. Don't play Lich early, it is made for one thing and one thing only.If your cancer patient gets the chemo he need to go back into remission, like the cancer cell you are, you'll Lich's mastery to drag an already hard circumstance for your opponent on and on. ONLY PLAY THE CARD IF YOU"RE GOING TO DIE!!!. for those wondering why the unusual choice of creature life suck vs other aggro combo's, Lich's mastery is one of them and the other is early life gain to out value your opponent so you may never have to play it. This deck give's you the benifits of an agro burn while still giving you control at the same time, and does this well. Since Lich's mastery is one of the last cards to play, by the time you do and if you do, your graveyard will be full enough that you'll reap the befits of the card with your life sucking cards that postponed you playing this card as long as possible. That being said don't be to afraid to take hits and try not to block often, your trying to out value your opponent to death and not handle blow for blow. It is essentially as i described it, you're the cancer and he's trying hard to fight it by the time he realizes whats going on, and since lich's mastery is the last card you really want to play, if your matched against white try to win without it and play only if you really need too. White is going to be your biggest problem as in competitive they'll usually have cleansing nova in the side board if not main board. you either want to force him/her to use it early on or at least before you play lich's mastery as it's the only AOE card that can kill it out right. For every other problem, the side board is there. Lots of board wipes, play low guys if playing against agro or low range decks, star of extinction if against stuff like carnage tyrant or doom whisperer. Tillaoni is great counter to selesnia or weenie tokens along with fiery cannonade.
