aka Chia Deck Goal: grow your own deck! Just add water (water=paradox haze... you know... cause its blue)! Weakness: This deck's greatest weakness is its slow build up and its creature dependence. If an opponent can hit hard and fast or muster enough removal, you might find yourself in a tough spot. Card Choice Paradox Haze: More upkeeps means more spore counters which means more saprolings Doubling Season: Double the number of tokens and saporlings made, it comes a bit late in the curve for my taste so I don't have the full play set and having more than one out is generally going to be over kill. Noble Hierarch: Great mana accelerator who makes all the colors you could ever want for this deck.. You can put birds of paradise her if you wish, there for this deck there isn't a whole lot of difference Thallid Shell-dweller: A important card as it will staunch some of the bleeding you will get early as you start planting your fungi. Good blocker he has the added benefit of being well out of range of most burn spells. I'd suggest hold the spore counters on him to the last minute in case you get pyroclasmed so you can regenerate your spores quickly. If your planning to go more white, you can put in a mycologist here as well thought I might still opt for the shell-dweller Mulldrifter: mostly for card draw, considered Psycotrope Thallid but if your having problems early on (when you will be in most need of cards) the Psycotrope might end up being too slow. Pallid Mycoderm: Powers up your eventual saproling swarm for the kill if Garruk isn't read yet, otherwise he's still a solid body that will produce saprolings Sporesower Thallid: Speeds up your growth cycle for saprolings Sporoloth Ancient: Same as above Mycoloth: Invest a few saprolings in him if you have a paradox up and he will pay you out quadruple if he survives to the beginning of your next turn Path to Exile: spot removal for problem threats or if you have mana problems feel free to exile your own saproling Garruk: Accelerates and is a kill-condition all in one. Helps to recover from Wrath and other board sweeps by making beasts. Search for Tomorrow: My personal favorite mana accelerating spell. if you have other preferences you can slip them in this place instead. Pallid Mycoderm: Another spore produce who can double as a kill condition if Garruk is not forth coming Sprout Swarm: a good emergency source of saprolings, if your going to splash black you might want to invest in Necrogensis instead. Other cards: Life and Limb: Potentially very powerful if you are going mono-green (or relying on shock lands for all your other man types) however be careful, a single board sweeper can ruin your day. If you do play this, consider vinelasher kudzu, since saprolings will come into play as forests and therefore give it a +1/+1 counter Mark of Asylum: If your play group runs burn I would suggest this, though if they only do some burn you might prefer to go with barrenton forge tender. Doubling Season: I already mentioned this but I think I should once more, a very powerful card if your willing to make the sacrifices to play it... perhaps an alternate construction with more mana acceleration would prefer it or possibly run both it and paradox (just the thought off both in play is delicious in itself). Utopia Mycon: Possibly a useful source of mana fixing/accelerating, it has the disadvantage that it can't accelerate without the saprolings which normally aren't in play when we want our accelerators to come down.
