I don't understand Kruphix. So, if you tap 8 lands, but don't use the mana, you will have 8 floating colorless that doesn't empty from your mana pool even when steps and turns end?

Well...excuse me for wanting some clarification.

Kruphix functions the same as omnath, except it changes to colorless. It's kinda confusing at first but it's all good. Makes spells with x a thing of beauty

not only X spells :-D i play him in my animar EDH, and there is a few eldrazi collorless cards inside

I don't like Kruphix as the Commander. You can't dump a lot of mana into anything beyond Collective Voyage or Biomass Mutation. You won't be busting your hand size on any real card. It seems like Vorel or Experiment Kraj would be better Commanders. Oh, and by the way, Noxious Revival is about eight times better than Salvage.

Both really strong points. I liked Kruphix as the Commander to hold mana for Hydra Broodmaster, but Vorel seems like the stronger option

It's not just x spells though. I'd played smart, you could stock up on mana and then later in when you have a creature like hydra broodmaster and you want to activate him on your opponents turn? Well then all that nana is ready at a moment's notice. It also can help mitigate overall cost if you were looking to storm hunting pack as well. Spells with x aren't the only thing he is good for. You just have to broaden your gaze a bit and consider how many spells with higher costs have more colorless than colored mana. It's a late game mana bank! Sadly though, it doesn't gain interest :'(

Kruphix is not very good commander i think. For use his full potencial, you need Prophet of Kruphix, or Seedborn muse, and some mana doubling, like Vorinclex...

If you wanna play with +1/+1 counters, vorel is better.
Copy-control play mostly Experiment Cry
And for aggro play is best commander Momir, Simic Visionary.

I have played all this decks in a lot of adjustments and now i play frenchlike duel Momir aggro deck.

If you're going to run Vorel as a commander IMO you need more ramp. When he's on the field he's going to suck up two mana per turn using his abilities. I'd start by replacing Index and Preordain. They're good, useful cards in a 60 card format, but here they just take up a slot that could be taken by a game-changer. And if you really like Index I'd rather just run Mirri's Guile (or Divining Top) and do it each turn, or Thassa and scry each turn.

Illusionist's Bracers would double Vorel's double.

nice deck. maybe i will remuve a few cards, as leefdrake roost, 100000 arrows, bestial menace, biomantic mastery and incremental growth, and add some counterspells, trygon predator (must have), forgoten ancient ... there is a lot of nice creatures :-)

counterspells in a deck like this are a waste. unless the deck is nothing but counterspells then there is no reason to use them at all

i have momir commander deck with 12 counterspells and it is working nicely. coz you have answer for oponents lasthits spells (from my friends decks for example craterwurm behemont, or curiosity played on niv mizzet........)
There is counterspell in simics you "must have": cryptic command, voidslime, plasm capture... (maybe mystic snake :-) )

If you design a deck to have a creatures that are 100+/100+ you better bring some counters for board wipes and removal. I play a similar deck with voral except i use evolve mechanic to get the first few counters. By turn 10 I am ALWAYS the person everyone wants dead.

Since there are so many counters in this deck, why not add in Contagion Clasp and Thrummingbird for proliferate?

Contagion Engine and Inexorable Tide are bets things to proliferate :)

Might I suggest the following to consider; Simic Signet, Helix Pinnacle, Darksteel Reactor, Magistrate's Scepter, Pentavus, Tezzeret the Seeker, and Contagion Engine/Clasp. All of these seem really strong in your deck, and wouldn't be that hard to add in! :D
