The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My type 2 myr deck attempt. Looking for some good constructive criticism.

Deck discussion for Myr to you too.

I like the way your going with this deck, the myr's can gang up pretty well. I'd get rid of either myr welder, there aren't many good cards that you could exile, and the ones that are good would be better if you just bring them back with myr reservoir. Another paladium myr and another galvanizer myr would be good. Sideboard your propagators, because they cost a lot to constantly use their ability to pump out copy's, tokens are better. Indomitable Archangel is a great addition. Myr decks are my favorite, so i hope you find a way to have fun with yours!

I do like Archangel and I know another galvanizer will help so thanks for the help!

I constructed a Myr deck similar to this one, but it was based around draw ability and Myr Welder. Honestly, I'm having trouble seeing your win condition outside of the whole infinite Propagator trick. I'm of the opinion that Darksteel Myr is just a stall measure, which I suppose it decent if you're waiting for a win-in-one-turn event, but I don't see it here.

Personally, I'd nix the Perilous Myrs and the Origin Spellbombs in favor of another Galvanizer and Turbines. Also, you may wish to consider putting an artifact that you want to put in the graveyard for the Welders you've got, like Decimator Web.

I'm not sure how a combination of 10-20 myrs with +3/+3 (minimum), double strike and life link isn't a win condition...

I agree about origin spellbomb, I was skeptical about putting it in myself so I'll look into decimator web and some other good artifacts.

Well the problem with it is that it's a slow build up of small creatures and relies solely on attacking, something that few Myr were designed for. Something like Lightmine Field or Day of Judgement would completely shut down that strategy. Or something that was faster than you are, like this deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=155896

I'm not saying your deck isn't a threat; it is solid. But it doesn't "wow" me, if you know what I mean.

I disagree that DoJ is a complete shut down, Myr Resovoir allows a nice recovery from it.

Steel Overseer might be good in there ;)

It would be amazing as a correction, but the price is a huge turn off for me. (In terms of money). I'll try and work them into the budget though.

Yes, sadly, you have a point there :( some cards are so damn costly

This is a really cool deck!

Have you thought of maybe including a Voltaic Key or two in there? For only (1),(T), it can allow you to re-use your turbine, or untap something for blocking.

It would also work well with the previous Steel Overseer suggestion.

Huh, I think that is an interesting idea, I might go ahead and try that. Also, since i do understand how amazing Steel overseer is I'll work on getting my hands on two and adding them to this deck.

I edited the deck and added a SB.

The changes you made definitely turned this deck into a real force to be reckoned with. Myr Galvanizer + Voltaic Key + Myr Turbine + Myr Battlesphere can get you an army of Myr out onto the field. Really the only thing you have to fear are Phyrexian Rebirth, and Creeping Corrosion.

Deleted the SB because it was a mess.

it seems to me that myr galvanizer is the backbone of any myr deck, since your only white card is tempered steel anyways i would reccomend putting in splinter twin and/or cryptoplasm; it could conceivably almost triple your chances of getting the infinite mana combo and at the very least would help pump up the rest of your myrs. Apart from that it looks quite well-balanced, good work!

P.S. please let me know if you have any ideas for my deck........

Tempered Steel is a very nice part of my deck so I don't want to change colors suddenly or add another and lower the chances of me getting enough white mana. Both of those cards make copies of Galvanizer which can also be done by:

Mirrorworks
Myr Welder (if Galvanizer dies)

Thank you for the input though!

I'm guessing that your strategy is creature swarm. just a tip: add in a few signal pest. very low cost for a pretty good effect.
