The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

This is going to be a white creatureless deck. I'm new to magic, so I don't exactly know how well everything will work, so I'm sure it will take some time before I can perfect it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

By using Barren Glory. A combination of either Oblivion ring and world purge, or tempest of light and enchanted evening should set me up to use it.

ok but lands are permanents so barren glory would be useless

that's the point of Enchanted Evening. His lands become enchantments as well, so they can be removed with Tempest of Light.

Yeesh, definitely not going to work.

Couldn't I just use the Oblivion ring on the Barren Glory, and then when Worldpurge or whatever takes the ring out of play, the barren glory comes back and I win.

There are many ways to wind other than aggro or burn. I've been playing since Onslaught, and I've seen some ridiculous combos that don't deal any damage but still win pretty consistently.

You know, a strategy around oblivion-ringing barren glory is actually pretty awesome. And it would be a lot of fun to pull off. You mind if I make a deck based on it?

+1 for the idea.

Go for it, at least somebody likes the idea. The whole point of it is to be fun, and I really think this deck would do just that. I mean, I know I am super new to magic, but I just picked some cards I liked and thought would go well together and just want to try it out.

Nice idea, but you either need a way to get rid of your lands or a way to get rid of your hand after Worldpurge. Barren Glory doesn't work if you still have cards in your hand. I've been trying to build a deck like this since I first saw Barren Glory a couple years ago, and I think the best bet is to go white/red.

For discarding you hand: Breakthrough (blue) or One with Nothing (black).

You could make this deck with defensive creatures to make it more durable against combat damage. Giving you more time to set up the Barren Glory combo.

I dig the idea!

I read this as "TRIBAL creatureless", and was quite confused at first.

Just want to point out, two people above said that you need a way to discard your hand after you cast Worldpurge. That isn't true. Worldpurge reads that each player chooses UP TO seven cards to keep in hand, then shuffle rest away. "Up to" can include keeping none.
