You want Ajani Pridemate ahead of Sunstriker surely? Also if you want to keep more in theme you could add pride guardian instead of Soul's Attendant.

I'd sidedeck your 'protection from' knights and allow you to have a more consistent main build.

Hi, so when your making decks its important to pick your best cards and putting 4 of them in your deck. You are playing Boros colours which means you are probably playing an aggro deck, what this means is that in the ideal scenario you want the game to be over by turn 5. That means you need to work out what are the best cards you could draw each turn and put four of them in.

So Boros Battleshappers ability is basically a less good version of Odric's so I'm not sure I'd bother running him.

I suggest you have 4xStinkdrinker Daredevil and I think its worth including a Lotus Bloom, it's not as expensive as the other Lotus cards and turn 3 when it becomes avaliable is the kinda turn that it'll actually be useful for you!

I'd get rid of your Pilgrim, he just doesn't work in an aggro deck. Also Rally the Peasent's is really expensive in an aggro deck.

As much as I love Odric (I've built my standard deck around him) I think Firemane Avenger fits your decks theme better, it works for both aspects of your deck.

Personally I'd have 4 of my best cards rather than 2 of most cards. Modern Masters isn't coming in to standard, it's just producing some really rare cards to make the Modern format easier format to get in to.

I'd maindeck four Ash Zealots. Ignore for a second its main ability. Haste and first strike on a 2 drop, when all of your land produces red mana is fantastic for a RDW. I'd put it in ahead of Stonewright personally.

I'm also presuming the 6xStonewright in your side deck is a mistake?

Yeah fair enough, its a trade off that is needed to be made occasionally.

Just one thing that you may or may not be aware of is that Hero's tokens don't activate battalion the turn they arrive on the battlfield.

You've got a lot of cards in here which don't add to the theme of life gain/loss. Personally I'd add an Ajani Pridemate or 4, Ajani Goldmane is worth considering too.

OK, so when I'm building an aggro deck I try to not have cards that cost more than 4 to play, at a stretch I might have a 5 drop. Others are different, some people have a big card just in case the game stretches but this is one of the times when you break the rule of 4 and you only have 1 or 2 high mana cards.

Now personally if I was going to have a card more expensive than 4 from Boros right now I'd have an Aurelia the Warleader.

If this deck is meant to be standard legal then you can't have elite vanguard at all, sadly :(.

Good, then stick with the arrester, I find that it's when I look at the alternatives I realise just what is that the card I do use brings to my deck and that makes my ability to utilise it better!

OK, so I'm presuming your going for a face paced aggro deck where your win con is overwhelming your opponents.

I guess the first thing to sort is how many 1 drops you want and which ones. I personally would have 2 playsets (4 of them) of different 1 drops.

The main 1 drops for standard Boros right now are: Champion of the Parish, Boros Elite, Doomed Traveller, Forge Devil, Legion Loyallist and Stormkirk Noble.

Of course the other thing you should be thinking about is how much each of these cards are gonna cost you to get!

Now I opted for Champion and Elite because I wanted a human themed deck. For Battalion themed them I'd go for Loyalist and Elite. But the choice is yours. Decent deck, if you've got the money I would suggest spending some on improving your mana sources. Sacred Foundry and Rugged Prairie come to mind as options :).
