First attempt as somewhat competitive deck after long hiatus from Magic. Not really interested in getting a whole lot of Zendikar cards, as the block will leave type 2 in 6 months or so. I'm trying to do something with Mirrodin block and M11 (hoping my m11 cards get reprinted. Using the land search cards to thin out the deck and to get my manna on the bard to play the high cost green creatures. The hawks thin out a few more cards and give me something to use with the Shaman to find the creatures I want. The overgrown battlement keep small creatures at bay, give some manna and if I draw 1 I don't need, it is pitch fodder. Garruk can give me a small blocker if I need it, give me access to re use 2 of my lands, and lastly, give my creatures a pump and trample so I thought he would be worth using.
