Something was missing from the previous incarnation of this deck, and I just wasn't sure what. So, I did a little research online and figured out it was discard! This really changed things, and it runs much more smoothly now.First, the biggest change (obviously) was the addition of Inquisition of Kozilek and Hymn to Tourach. After all, removing a threat before it's even played is much quicker and more effective than removing it with some sort of kill-spell.Second, I cut back a bit on the small creatures (sorry, Order of the Ebon Hand) in favour of Greater Harvester. True, I have to sacrifice a permanent every turn (oh no, not Bloodghast/Dakmor Salvage! Whatever will I do?), but it is a threat that has to be dealt with quickly. That's also why I re-introduced O-Naginata to this deck. A huge boost for a small cost and a non-existent drawback... I'll take it!A couple miscellaneous additions here... I added Tomb of Urami because it looks fun, and a 5/5 uncounterable flier that can come onto the battlefield during an opponent's turn is kind of neat. I also added Necropotence again, to replace the Infernal Contracts I used to run
How to play? Aggressively. The idea is to leave the opponent with nothing to fight back with. A little mean, I agree, but hey. A first turn Dark Ritual into an Inquisition of Kozilek and a Hymn to Tourach is devastating, but a first turn Phyrexian Negator followed by all sorts of cheap removal works well too. Of course, the Death's Shadows only get stronger as the game goes on, and with O-Naginata equipped they get pretty scary.
