Deck Description

Vampire deck with 2 main points about it:
1- Numerous vampires on the field
This is due to having Bloodline Keepers and their ability to create vampires every turn. Also Bloodghast and their landfall ability which means they will be making numerous returns to the field. The tactical advantage to having a fair few vampires on the field is that Bloodline Keeper gets to transform into Lord of Lineage which pumps him and other vampires up whilst maintaining the ability to spawn more. Captivating Vampire also comes into his element as not only does he pump the others up, when 5 or more are out I can start taking over my opponent's creatures and making them vampires as well. Another advantage to having numerous vampires out is improves the effectiveness of Malakir Bloodwitch. On a side note cards such as Blood Tribute and Feast of Blood require vampires out to work whilst Urge to Feed offers a chance to pump up any of the vampires if needed.

2- Gaining life whilst opponent loses life
The centre piece of this strategy is the use of Sanguine Bond to do some high damage. Sanguine Bond has the useful ability that allows me to make my opponent lose life equal to the amount that I gain. The obvious one hit knock out combo would be to have this out whilst I cast Blood Tribute and have at least 1 untapped vampire out. This would make my opponent lost half of their life whilst I gain this amount (providing I tapped a vampire), Sanguine Bond would then cause my opponent to lose life equal to the amount I gained and half of their life plus half of their life being taken away would result in them having nothing left (and due to the amount dealt being rounded up, it doesn't matter whether their life is an even or odd number). Though this may be the strongest combo in terms of damage there are more cards in this deck with the ability to make me gain life. Malakir Bloodwitch, as mentioned before, providing I have some vampires out on her own will allow me to hurt my opponent whilst healing myself but with Sanguine Bond out my opponent will lose double the amount they should. On the creature front, Kalastria Highborn is another card to aid in this. Whenever this card dies or another vampire I control dies at the cost of only 1 black mana, my opponent loses life whilst I gain (Sanguine Bond doubles the amount dealt). Feast of blood also works here destroying an opponents monster whilst granting me 4 life (thus hurting my opponent for 4) which can be quite devastating for a low cost. Another strong adition is Bloodcheif Ascension, one of these out can be quite deadly with little support as 2 damage is fairly easy to deal to put the counters on and your opponent will be sending cards to the graveyard in some shape or form. With Sanguine Bond out, any time an opponents card goes to the graveyard I gain 2 life whilst they lose 4. This soon adds up when combined with the sacrificing/shoot support in here for example Gatekeeper of Malakir (when kicked opponent sacs a creature), Anowon the Ruin Sage (providing they don't have a vamp deck they sac 1 creature every of my upkeep), Feast of Blood (destroys a creature whilst also giving life), Urge to Feed can kill creatures, Consuming Vapors in total can make an opponent sac 2 creatures whilst increasing my life and finally Vampire Nighthawk with death touch ought to take out a few.

So every card in this deck has its place, whilst some may mainly be there as support , each card can help at least 1 of these strategies (ignoring Dark Ritual as that's just there to speed up the deck).

(No vampire nocturnus as I'd rather not fork out lots on a single card)
