Deck discussion for Vampires (block constructed by Gerry Thompson)

Deck looks sweet. The only thing is I would drop the Marsh Flats. This is a mono black deck so fetching shouldn't be necessary. Add 1 Anowon, the Ruin Sage, and you'll have an even 60 cards to pop those Abyssal Persecutors once their job is done. Did this deck win? If not, the these simple mods should take the game further.

You know he can use gatekeeper to get rid of the protectors, right? It's "target player", so he just spends three and Voila, no protector! I agree, however, that marsh flats is useless.

If it were me, I wouldn't waste Gatekeeper's ability solely on getting rid of the persecutors. Though that could work.

the marsh flats are awesome in this deck. like in all decks it thins it out, and it works great with bloodghast. just imagine a bloodghast and a kalastria highborn on the battlefiled.

I think the marsh flats are to get bloodghast out onto the field late game and I didn't include the side bored but I think there might be a reason for it in the side board. It did pretty well, but he didn't make top 8 i think he made top 16. It was a featured deck on deck tech

Nah. Let's say I had 4 Bloodghast in the graveyard. I would only need 1 land drop to bring back all 4 Bloodghast on the field.

The fetch lands (Verdant Catacombs and Marsh Flats) are probably there to thin out the deck, so in late game you're drawing relevant cards instead of swamps. What I'd like to know is why it's a 63 card deck; perhaps it makes it more efficient somehow?

I probably screwed up just alittle when i did the input. It is suppose to be a 61 card deck.

I would consider 3x feast of blood and 2x tendrils of corruption instead of disfigure / hideous end / smother. No color restriction to the creatures you kill + lifegain.

This is a block constructed deck, and those are all M10 cards hence why they are not in the deck
