Deck Description

Well, it's a Modern American Midrange Delver deck. I don't really think it'd do as well as other proven America decks, such more controlling UWR Midrange or UWR Control. All I really did with this deck is take standard UWR Control cards that I've had to play against, then cut the slower cards for Delver, Geists, Serum Visions, and a playset of each of the UWR staple burn spells.

I really love spell snare and would really hate to cut it, but I feel it may be too situational for an aggressive deck (yes, I just called spell snare situational. Rue my name. Is it actually situational in this deck archetype? I truly don't know).

How to Play

Get out a creature to apply pressure, kill things, burn your opponent FTW.

Deck discussion for Modern American Delver

the american deck is really fun to play with.
Is the batterskull supposed to be a bomb? Maybe thundermaw hellkite would do better.
And i think u should reduce some 4-of cards to 3 to put some more lands. I think 20 lands isn´t enough.
and it´s really unusual an american deck without cryptic commands... just saying..

Cryptic command is loads of card advantage, but I'm trying to build more on the aggressive side by including more proactive cards rather than reactive. Well, originally, this was a stoneforge mystic + delver deck that I saw someone play in legacy, but I forgot about the modern bannings, but still kept the batterskull in. It has no purpose. I haven't really noticed many mana issues, but that's only when goldfishing it. I think it needs at least 22. I was thinking of running 4 gitaxian probes, which would probably make 20 okay, but then I'd still have to cut 1-2 additional spells than if I were to do that rather than run 22-23 lands.

I think I'll try adding 2 basics to help with blood moon matchups, but if I'd get a turn 3 geist down, it'd be hard to lose that matchup.

Yeah the list seems great.
I think 2 Gitaxian probes should do just fine. It has an alternative secondary effect similar to vendilion clique.
You could try -1 mana leak, -1 serum visions +2 gitaxian probe.

Good suggestion. Though, serum visions helps flip delver. Well, since it's a sorcery, it'd only be turn 3, which my chances are it'd be flipped by then anyways. I'll mess around with it, and maybe bring out my calculator if I want to get serious with a tier 1.5 archetype.
