I wanted to try to build a deck based around Barren Glory for EDH. So the deck is built around getting it out and also trying to get rid of all other permanents you own.
The deck is built around an enchantment rather then a commander, so the deck has a bunch of tutors to make sure that Barren Glory is available to you. Since you're not going to have a very impressive board state there are also plenty of board clearing effects as well. The best chance you have at pulling off a Barren Glory win is with Renouce but also Decree of Annihilation because it'll clear everything that you own except for enchantments which is the reason why I ran very few enchantments. Now since this is EDH and it's a singleton format, there are different ways in the deck to try and duplicate Renounce or Decree of Annihilation, also getting up to ten mana to cast it could be difficult. The hardest part I think is clearing your hand, your permanents are easier because of Jokulhaups and Obliterate. For that reason I added in Ignorant Bliss, One with Nothing, and creatures like Putrid Imp, to try to eliminate your hand. Devastating Dreams and Death Cloud will get you close by getting rid of your hand, lands and creatures but you'll need Atrog and other creatures like it to sacrifice off your artifacts.Lastly there's the worry of someone disenchanting Barren Glory because you can't get a board clear off, so there's cards like Auramancer and Argivian Find to grab it out of the graveyard. If Barren Glory gets exiled then you're pretty much dead in the water my friend, this is a one trick pony. Your only chance at this point is trying to win with commander damage, other then that you'll pretty much never have the need to cast Oros, the Avenger.
