I am looking at Marshall Law .... Wondering...

This is really nice. I am going to export this to build it. Awesome.
I face RDW several times a week. I like it, but it doesn't fare to well against me anymore. Ohh, don't get me wrong I get a bad draw and nothing worth a damn against this by turn 4, i'm hurting or dead already. RDW is a good build. It can win tournaments and I have seen it do so. The key to stopping this deck is early creature removal or negation. Its all pop right out of the gate. but the more turns you draw it out the weaker it becomes until it fizzles. RDW needs to win by turn 5. Its sort of like a movie that the first 15 minutes are awesome and you spend the next hour wondering why the hell you stayed. Anyone who plays this, If you can't keep your opponent reeling and on the ropes. Scoop and go to the next match in the round. As Combo and Control Deck mana pools get deeper you will just find yourself eating damage with no responses to offer but sacrificial lambs.
There is not one trigger. There are two.Extort for 1 Life. You lose 1 Life So I gain 1 Life. (Trigger 1) I gain 1 life and you Lose 1 Life (Trigger 2)And they cycle and alternate. down to X where X is the opponents life total. Since Each Trigger can be responded to E.G. Everyone can cast spells between the triggers (respectively instants and sorcery APNAP conditionally)This is if anything a "Soft" infinite loop. Rather than a "Hard Loop" Like say Casting Oblivion ring with no valid targets. Then casting Oblivion Ring on the Oblivion Ring, Then Casting a third and targeting the second Oblivion Ring. THAT meets the criteria of infinite loop. Since there is no way to respond unless the active player plays a target-able permanent. In which case if they do not, and they pass turn. The match ends in a draw.
On the shoulders of giants:http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v9/Love this. Thank you for your inspiration in my own build.

Like it. Suggestions?Remove the evolving Wilds and add 2 more Guild Gates. Drop the Basilica Guards and the Treasury Thrulls for 3 Liliana's Shade.Drop the Pets to add another Guildmage and another High priest.Drop Cloudshift and Gift for Creature RemovalYou need more spells to extort. Not just multiple extort off creature spells you cast. Synergy of an extort deck is utilizing Crypt Ghast to make 1 swamp tap for two. That two mana is dumped into extort off one land. leaving you open to cast more low cost spells. 1 Gate + 1 Swamp = Guildmage second ability. Drop the Key Runes. I am a returning player after ten years.... Blood Reckoning is a new card for me. So thanks for introducing it to me. I will be adding that to my Type II deck lol. Blood Reckoning+Exquisite Blood would be pretty sick. You gain for what they lose. Then pop the guildmage second ability and that would set off the infinite.http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v8/
Good Orzhov build. Do you plan on entering this in FNM? If you do, let us know your results and any subsequent tweaks. My Orzhov build can be found here:http://www.mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v8/
SB: Beckon Apparition x4SB: Orzhov Charm x 4Swap Tribute to Hunger for Devour FleshDrop down to 2X Tragic slip and go with Murder or Ultimate Price. , get rid of the Undying Evil for more removal. The biggest problem is you have no ramp whatsoever. There's zilch fetching lands for you.You have several 3 drops that your going to need 2 of in a single round and even on turn 6 your not gonna get there. You are going to have to drag your curve down . a splash into 3 and your Planes Walkers rounding out the top.Blind Obedience would be quite helpful to your design. The good news is that you will have plenty of time between rounds to talk with friends. Anything in this Deck as inspiration.http://www.mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v8/
This is awesome. Going to build this. Following you in case you make any tweaks or revisions to it.

Version 8:http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v8/Version 7: http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v7/
I stand corrected: Oracle Ruling on 7/1/2012 states mutilate only effects creatures on the board.Even if the number of swamps in play changes.
Mutilate would give this a bad day.
We are headed after the same thing, Competitive Orzhov. Here are mine for you to maybe get some inspiration from:http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v7/http://mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v6/
This version of the deck contains a single Exquisite Blood, as the infinite combo is not the primary kill mechanic. However, The upcoming version 7 will have main deck plus side board that allows you to literally change out the entire mechanic of the deck. The principle kill mech for versions 1-6 have been the Shades Ability to pump with Dying Wish on them or the use of essence harvest. and eventually came using extort to tax your opponent piece by piece.
1) Pray for no mutilates. Also Consider the following, I know some do not "fit" the deck theme. However they compliment it well:Psychic StrikeDimir InfiltratorParanoid DelusionsSoul RansomDimir CharmMortus Strider
You are missing a very important card. Opposition. Why no Opposition?
