Deck Description

So this is a deck I've wanted to make for awhile now, lots of control and damage in Manabarbs, and you prevent the damage it does to you with Hedron-Field Purists and Urza's armor while mana accelling and getting a big creature using proliferate. Quest for pure flame gets insanely high very quickly with manabarbs, and lumiarch ascention is great all around. Comment and suggest please!
(I took out pyrohemia because its too red intensive)

Hmmm i really like this idea and i think you used the theme well. I hope manabarbs is in m12
But the most important part of this deck is that it just gave me a wicked cool idea around children of korlis and manabarbs. :D thanks!!

Thanks and yeah i really hope that manabarbs is in standard when m12 comes out.
your turn 2 win deck is cool, maybe use rite of consumption instead of fling?

I think this is a fantastic concept; the manabarbs and related items work very well together, I think.

However, it seems like the creature half is a little weak, and you're a little hosed if you don't get manabarb or if you don't get red mana. So, I'd scrap the proliferate artifacts, and go for something more robust.

Consider: you already have the red and white, so you could get Stun Snipers, Heathrow Hobgoblins, and Boros Swiftblades. Or, consider: instead of trying to protect yourself from the manabarbs, try to beat it. Keep the chalice, but also add 4 golden myrs and 4 iron myrs. Then get a lot of things with metalcraft, like Rusted Relic, Dispense Justice, Ardent Recruit, and Ghalma's Warden.

After playtesting I'm still too reliant on drawing a everflowing chalice and stun sniper rarely comes out on turn 2, so -3 Quest for pure flame +4 Palladium Myr -2 stun sniper +1 Plains

Double mana barbs out with urza's armor or hedron is insane. Players take sooo much damage. Nice Deck!
