An update on a deck I posted a while ago. Might not be the most competitive, but it's got fun synergy.
Use a wide selection of burn spells to clear the path, and then charge in with Prowess. Monastery Swiftspear provides powerful early game pressure, and can be devastating all on its own. Ideally you keep their creatures at bay with burn, and as long as everything's clear, keep swinging.

Love it! +1 from me.

Thanks much!
Stormchaser Mage might be a quicker version of Wee Dragonauts. It's costs {1} less and has haste. Down side it the trigger is +1/+1 instead of +2/+0, so it's less damage per trigger.
Ooh, good catch! I'm inclined to believe the benefits would outweigh the drawback, especially since Stormchaser gets a toughness boost, making him more survivable. It'd certainly help the deck pick up momentum early on, which is always good. I'll put them in the sideboard for now, and give 'em a go as I can get my hands on a playset. Thanks for the suggestion!
You can also try including a set of Gitaxian Probe. It's a "free" draw spell that triggers all of your creatures and lets you see the opponent's hand. Similarly, Mutagenic Growth is a good pump spell for Monastery Swiftspear and Stormchaser Mage; and Surgical Extraction is a solid sideboard choice. And if you don't mind sinking life into a spell, Dismember is a great sideboard option for getting rid of creatures that are indestructible.
I hadn't thought of all the "free" cantrips from New Phyrexia, those could be really handy. I'll pay around with it, see what I like.
Manamorphose is another "free" cantrip.
Could sometimes better than free, if the color swap enables you to play more spells than you could've without it. Now I need to figure out how many of these I can fit in, and which ones.
I made a few modifications, comments and suggestions are welcome as always.
Lava Spike is better then Lightning Strike, Rift bolt is Really good as well. Research // Development is my second favourite thing to stick on a Scepter. ( you can cast the development for 2) It's a bit Janky for modern but man is it fun. LoL
R&D on Scepter? You can do that and case either side? Thats GENIUS.
Yup it's wonderful. Had a judge called on me for it on 2 different accounts.
Sweet! I'll have to look into that.
Research//Development... Oh man, that's awesome. I used to use that trick with Turn//Burn, but R&D takes that to a whole new level. You're right on Lightning Strike, I've got enough burn that can hit creatures that I can probably afford to swap the Strikes for Lava Spikes. Only issue is I'm currently working on a fairly limited budget, so those might have to wait.
this loks like sorta burnish deck, but i question som e card choicess. first of all, for a burn dek i tihnk some of ur cards are suboptimal, either too slow or not enough impact, like shock, lightnint strike, wee dragonauts, guttersnipe, ixochronscetper, flame slash. bu ton the other hand , this dek has mana leak, but not other tempo speels. i would personally change this dek to be either a delver deck or just straight up burn.
Thanks for the tips, I'll play around with it and see what I can do to make the deck more focused!
I would say replace Lightning Strike with Lava Spike, but that's my opinion. All i can think of right now except Mizzix of the Izmagus, but I don't think that's modern legal. Good deck! +1
Yeah, I'm definitely considering that. Only issue is it's a tad expensive.
Yeah, I love burn, but all the GOOD spells are pretty expensive.Because they're good. But yeah.
