Deck Description

This is the first Commander deck I've attempted to build. I'm sure the current list is rough, which is why I need your help. This is a casual deck, and I don't intend it to be seriously competitive. What I'm going for is strong synergy on a limited budget.

Some notes:

-Infinite Reiterate combo with Seething Song, Turnabout, etc, for massive Storm count and limitless mana
-Proliferate for tons of XP counters
-Casting Spell Burst for [U] means don't let anyone do anything, ever
-Card Draw

How to Play

Step1 - Play spells
Step 2 - Get XP counters
Step 3- Repeat Step 1
Step 4 - Draw cards
Step 5 - Win.

Deck discussion for Infinite Storm (Mizzix EDH)

It's like three bucks, but Pyromancer's Goggles would be nuts in this deck.

Ooh! I love it. It's definitely in, as soon as I find what I want to drop in exchange. Thanks much for the suggestion!

Question. If one of my main potential win conditions is a huge token swarm through Talrand, Young Pyromancer and possibly Empty the Warrens, and I've already got ways to clear the path via tapping, board wipe, Teleportal, etc, then would throwing in Burst of Speed be good enough insurance alongside counter spells, extra turns and/or Flash casting everything at the preceding player's end step? Do I even need the haste? It seems like it'd come in handy.

It's probably not going to make much difference very often, imo.

Ponder is probably better in that same slot than Serum Visions. There's a reason it's banned in Modern and Serum Visions is not.

Fair enough, on both accounts. Switched out Serum Visions for Ponder. Still working on what to drop in exchange for Pyromancer's Goggles, any suggestions?

In a two color deck you could drop to 38 lands with no problem, especially in a deck with decent draw options. I only run 36 in most of my two colors.

If you really want to stay at 39 I'd pull Thought Reflection. It's a great card on paper but in reality 8 mana is a whole lot to spend on a spell that probably won't do anything until your next turn.

If you decide to go the land route I'd still pull Thought Reflection and replace it with Recurring Insight. RI will cost two less to cast, gets you multiple cards immediately instead of having to wait a few turns to pay off, doesn't risk being disenchanted before it can do anything, and can be copied in this deck. Generally it gets you a LOT of cards. It's my absolute favorite big draw spell in blue.

Cool deck bro! All I suggest for now is to add one of my favorite red instant cards: Wild Ricochet.

Sounds good, I'll drop one more land to make room. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm getting ready to order this, so if anyone's got any more suggestions, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Galvanoth would give you a second Melek-like ability. Hypersonic Dragon seems useful, too.

Augur of Bolas, Djin Illuminatus, Dualcaster Mage, Goblin Electromancer, and Nucklavee might have roles. You could pick them up when you order the deck since I think all are cheap just in case you want to make changes later.

Sounds good. I have a couple of those already, and I'll add the rest to my order. Thanks again!
