in pace, ut sapiens, aptarit idonea bello: In peace, like a wise man, he appropriately prepares for war And this is war, its time to get ready for that blightsteel to come and ruin games, unless you have cards that can prevent its effectiveness before it can even make a move. No red cards can do the job, but a control deck seems the only answer. Im not saying it really is the ONLY answer, but these are the cards that are effective against it so far. The strategy is to either exile or counter it, plus creatures that can kill your opponent, if tactics are right, then shape anew decks will only have one kind of artifact available so etched champion has no problem in there :D Comments and suggestions will be great to have.

Pacifism and/or Fog > Blightsteel Colossus. Seriously, he won't be ruining any games ever. Also, there's a red card that exiles artifacts now.

well yeah, but there arent that many unfortunately, and pacifism keeps it on the field, which is still a situation that is not good when you play it. Because most blue decks will take it out and then you are stuck in the same situation. I would rather exile or send it to the graveyard as soon as possible, you can only have 4 blightsteel in the deck, while I have 16 cards made to stop it. 4:1 ratio :D Thanks for the comment though
I don't see the win condition, here. yes you have etched champion, and some ornithopters, but they wont really do much against say a grave titan or a swarm. I'd suggest using tempered steel, to boost those artifacts, and to add more artifact creatures. 2 wurmcoils would greatly help the win condition, and some indomitable archangels to give your artifacts shroud couldn't hurt either. also, i'd cut down on the brittle effigys. and add a trinket mage, they're actually so useful. sorry I may have scared you into thinking blightsteel will dominate standard, but I actually highly doubt he'll see much play. he's too vulnerable. :/ but also, I'm glad I may have inspired you to make a deck xD If you've got any questions, just ask. I'm always happy to try and help (:
win condition?, getting blightsteel out is the only actual tactic here :P this is for the long games, so imagine 4 etched champions attacking over and over again its going to take life, 5 turns is over. ok here is the ideal tactic turn 1: One land;Brittle Effigy;2 memnites turn 2: One land;Darksteel Axe Field: 2 lands;brittle effigy;darksteel axe;2 memnites(attack) 18 life turn 3: One land; etched champion Field: 3 lands;brittle effigy;darksteel axe; 2 memnites(attack);etched champion 16 life turn 4: One land; etched champion Field: 4 lands;brittle effigy;darksteel axe; 2 memnites(attack);2 etched champion(one attacks) 12 life turn 5: One land; darksteel axe Field: 5 lands;brittle effigy;2 etched quipped each with darksteel axes(attack);2 memnites(attack) 2 life and so on and so forth, variations change strategy, but attacking and attacking, and stuff happening in games that change everytime will be handled in the game.
/manaleak (:
Memoricide does a pretty good job of solving every problem ever.
