Deck Description

Heavy abuse of Conjurer's Closet with powerful ETB creatures.

How to Play

This deck can turn 3 Acidic Slime, Turn 4 Conjuer's Closet, locking your opponent in playing with 2-3 lands. The goal is to either slow your opponent down by destroying lands early, or to create a fast defense with Trostani/Thragtusk and flicker effects until you can just destroy all of their land or simply overrun them with Wurms and Beasts. The deck is built to lock the board once Conjurer's Closet hits, and if you have trostani with all of the flicker, your opponent won't be able to slow your life gain. A common strategy is to play Thragtusk/Acidic Slime followed by a Restoration Angel the next turn, then Conjurer's Closet. Provided your opponent doesn't have fliers, you can swing with the angel and flicker it with the closet at end phase and have it flicker your Thragtusk/Acidic Slime, getting in incremental damage while still controlling the board.

Deck discussion for Trostani's Closet (Standard)

I've been playing this deck for a month now at FNM. After going 4-1 for 3 weeks straight, I finally went 5-0 last week and hope to repeat that tonight. Many players just scoop when they are down to 1 land and realize they have no way to stop your Acidic Slime from flickering every turn.

Very solid build, and a perfect example of why I hate that they reprinted Acidic Slime in M13. It's a winner, but not very fun to play against. :)

you're right. nice and solid deck. I enjoy playing mine, problem is really just bad draw and the decks nowa days are fast. but its a guaranteed win if they dont get you the first 4turns.

BTW put garruk ph on mine as a draw engine. might wanna try it out if you're still using this deck
