Deck Description

Initially, I built this deck, as a "Mono" Blue deck, just to complete dailies with in MTG Arena. It turned out rather good. Haven't really tested it against the World Champ decks though. Also, I'm not smart enough to make this deck any better, so I'm just throwing it out there. Maybe someone smarter than me will.

So this deck is an aggro deck. Mill is a side win con. The main objective, is to drop enough cards from the opponent's library to their graveyard so that Relic Golem can work. That's it really.

How to Play

This deck is an aggro deck. Funnily enough, no one expects a mill deck to have big creatures. So I use that to my advantage.

The best starting hand to have is, 2-3 lands, 2 Ruin Crabs, a Relic Golem and a Reject. This ensures that by Turn 3, your opponent has 12 cards in their graveyard and you can drop your Relic Golem and give them a good shock. Ruin Crab is also a decent blocker, so you should be able to block most pesky 1 or 2 drops before casting Relic Golem. You may even delay the Relic Golem to Turn 4 and counter anything they try to drop in their Turn 4.

The next good hand is, 2-3 lands, a Maddening Cacophony, a Relic Golem and any other card. You play Maddening Cacophony on Turn 2 to mill 8 cards from your opponent's library and cast Relic Golem in Turn 3.

Another good hand is, at least 1 Island,1 Swamp and 1 other land, a Merfolk Windrobber, 2 Soaring Thought-Thief and a Relic Golem. This hand is a little slower, but by the end of Turn 3, you will have 9 cards in your opponent's graveyard and three 3/- Flying creatures. Which is awesome amounts of firepower, especially when Relic Golem comes down at Turn 4.

Some combos to note:

1) Evolving Wilds + Ruin Crab is awesome and should be abused.
e.g.
Turn 1: Island + Ruin Crab
Turn 2: Evolving Wilds and crack it your turn or opponent's, triggering Ruin Crab's Landfall twice
Turn 3: 1 more land to trigger Landfall and drop Relic Golem

2) Attacking with Krydle of Baldur's Gate can make any target creature unblockable for 2 mana. A 6/6 unblockable is fun.

3) There are 3 Rogues in this deck and Soaring Thought-Thief empowers them all.

4) Lots of Ruin Crab and Land in hand is a great combo, especially with Maddening Cacophony kicked.

5) Flying creatures hurt. Soaring Thought-Thief + Merfolk Windrobber + Iymrith, Desert Doom

(I can't remember the rest)

Alternative win condition: Milling

There are 2 main Mill engines:
1) Ruin Crab + Land
2) Rogues attacking with Soaring Thought-Thief

Things to note when going for the Mill win condition:
1) Relic Golem has an activated Mill 2 for 2 mana
2) Maddening Cacophony can be kicked OR used to finish off the opponent with Mill 8

Utility:
Draw: Consider and Iymrith, Desert Doom
Removal: Into the Roil and The Meathook Massacre
Counter: Reject and Saw It Coming

Again, it was supposed to be a "Mono" Blue deck for dailies, so I don't have too many black cards. The reason I added The Meathook Massacre was because there were so many decks in rotation that has a lot of creatures.

There are no sideboards either, because I can't think of what to add lol. Feel free to copy and improve on it if you like. Enjoy the deck!

Deck discussion for Run at my pace

Looks good I would suggest test of talent either for the main deck or the side board.

Glad you liked it! I'll try Test of Talents as a sideboard. Thanks.

No problem test of talent is my go to counter spell in standard.

I honestly like a 1 main 3 side split. Test of Talents is incredible when it's good, but downright terrible when it's bad.

A good example is against Mono Green Aggro it's not that good, but against Izzet Dragons it's incredible.

Exactly I usually only run 2 at most 1 in the main and 1 in the side.

Thanks. Yeah, I would at most run 2 side for now. It's very specific, a nice Negate, but I'd rather not let them draw. But we'll see. I'm still working on this deck. It's not anything game breaking. But it's decent.
