Deck discussion for Noobish elvish

To make this modern legal, replace Mountain Valley with an evolving wild. They do the same thing your case, both have one turn of being tapped and can only search for basics in your decks case. This deck is a good starting point only cost between 35-40$ but here are some easy suggestions that can improve the over all consistency of the deck. I see the budget idea, the Death bringer shaman, Ghostly Changeling, and Sylvan messenger are ok but I would recommend cutting for more constant creature dropped. Add Ezuri, Renegade Leader its only 3-5$ i recommend 3-4. Nissa is ok but craterhoof behemoth is much better win con. To help with ramp Elvish Archdruid is amazing. Buff your creatures and mana ramp for 2-3$ for is great.

Here is what i would run
4x Llanorwar elves
4x Elvish mystics
4x Dwynen's Elite
4x Elvish visionary
4x Ezuri, Renegade Leader
4x Elvish Archdruid
4x Shaman of the Pack
4x Imperious Prefection (2-3$)
1x Createrhoof behemoth
4x Dwynen, Gilt-leaf Daen

4x evolving wilds
2x Swamps
17x Forests
The Black is mainly a splash

Taylor the Sideboard to your local meta.

Overall this deck may be 20-30$ more but is still a great more consistent against the decks you will be playing against. You do not have to buy these cards all at once but you can slowly upgrade your deck. Your deck is a great overall starting point and can be upgraded even more through cards like Collected Company, Cavern of Souls, fetchland and shocklands. Hoped I helped!

Hey thanks for the tips mate!! I'm new to mtg so I'm not yet aware of what is legally playable or not yet but I'll try to remember it!
Still got quite a few cards that I need to find more copy of since the card shop here holds pretty much nothing.

The only reason I'm playing Nissa in this deck is because I have it and I've got nothing worth removing her even though she doesn't really have a great synergy with the rest of the deck.

Thank you for the advice!

Tcgplayer is a great way to order cards. It were i get most of my singles. The only down side is that you must have at least one dollar worth of product for each seller.
