It's a good deck, however, I wouldn't ever play against it given the level of munchkining it has to use.

I seem to be getting ok numbers of lands with the draw simulator. I'm only using it for it's ability. It's there to hurt the other player when I burn their creatures. It's not over, overpowered, but LB is the same effect as searing spear for half the mana. It was last printed M11, which is not too old, but still, a bit naff. Incinerate is pretty much searing spear, so thats ok, and lands are exempt. (It's not my limit, it's what my group agrees on. They rule out LB, but not incinerate). Yep, no $45 cards. Hmm, thats weird. Well, thats an update to how I think about lands.
Not bad, although you are very likely to be rushed. I would suggest various means of mana acceleration, as you're not going to be doing anything really untill the 4th turn.
It's a very defensive deck, but what the "Kill Card" in it? I'm not really seeing any aggro except Lightning Bolt
It's actually 24 mana in lands, as 4 of them are dual lands. With such a low mana curve, (tops out at 4 remember, and 53% of cards are only 2 mana), I want to make sure I'm not mana flooded. Falkenreath Noble is there because I can't put in 8 Blood Artists. It's there so I can rapidly increase my lifegain / damage from burning creatures. I don't want to move older than the Innstrad Block, as there are playing in our group who pick and choose from multiple blocks are generally lockied down on for pick and choosing. Lightning bolt is A: not inside my self imposed block limit, B: a overpowered card (which is why its mana cost was upped when it was turned into searing spear. As for the other burn spells, please indicate better versions in blocks from Innstrad onwards (Instradd, M13, RtR). The dual lands are there to count as black cards to improve Vampire Nocturnus and to colourfix.
Lets ignore your $1000 deck.
