Deck Description

Cheapest, easiest way to win in EDH. But usually only works once when people realize what you do. Mulligan any non swamps away first thing or don't, just make sure to have 4 swamps in hand.
Note; if they have dealt 10+ damage to you, the game will be a tie.
Worst match-up; Blue/white control who use counter spells. Tried to fix that with sideboard, but not many options.

How to Play

Turn 1: Swamp, Turn 2: Swamp, Turn 3: Swamp, cast Maralen. Turn 4: Fetch Cabal Coffers, play it. Turn 5: Fetch Ad Nauseam, Swamp, tap 2 for Cabal Coffers, 4 floating, cast Ad Nauseam using 4 floating + 1 swamp, 0 floating + 1 swamp remaining, go through whole deck taking a total of 4 damage, play Dark Sphere, tap last swamp, cast dark ritual, 3 floating, cast Sickening Dreams, 1 Floating, discarding 40 total swamps, before resolution respond with Dark Sphere you take 20, opponent takes 40. GG.
Use Elixir to reset deck if things go wrong.

Deck discussion for Maralen turn 5 EDH win

Wow, looks pretty nasty. If I ever do Commander, I would love to try this!

is it just me or the fact that you are not playing anything until turn 5 makes me think that things can go wrong very fast, especially in EDH.(anything to help you get leverage i mean cause you are never going to use any of your cards to put pressure or block)

Meanwhile, three opponents tutor up counterspells/spot removal before you even get a chance to tutor... or the player to the left tutors up a Stranglehold locking the table out of drawing and tutoring.

Or they just kill you since it takes til turn 5 and they get free tutors twice...

Skirge Familiar + Exsanguinate is better than coffers/sphere since it's loss of life rather than damage that can be redirected or prevented.

Might as well include Boseiju to prevent the counter defense as well.

This won't even work once vs anyone with a brain though and will just piss people off as you let one player combo off faster while people waste precious answers on your predictable play... This deck is a kingmaker, not remotely viable.

i could see this deck being good but as a fellow EDH player it would seriously piss me off. But i envy the creativity used here i think with a few edits it could be a really good competitive deck!!

Dark Sphere is good to use, in a similar build I run Pentagram of the Ages over the Sphere. I suppose I can understand why you use the Sphere though, it cost 0 and there is no cost to tap it. I suppose a win is a win if you dont lose any life to the Dreams or if you just lose half. My build might take a little while longer to make sure I have the mana right and the correct parts out to win, I just have to hope my opponents cant figure out what I am trying to do until its too late.
