Deck Description

This is my third try at this. I want to take it to Fnm this week but something just doesn't seem right with it. It's very vulnerable to heavy Aggro I know but I think I've sideboard end the cards to deal with that. However it still seems like something isn't quite right and I can't figure it out. Please help.

Deck discussion for Hexproof enchant-standard help

Blind Obedience did a really good job at halting aggro decks when I played them.

Yeah theyre good but where would I put them?

Blind Obedience id a Sideboard card. it IS amazing against hasty aggro, though.
I would replace Tithe Drinker with Fencing Ace, there isnt much a 1/1 doublestriker cant take out early.
you dont need 4 detention sphere, your goal is speed kills, not control.

I was using fencing ace but someone suggested tithe drinker so I was giving him a try. Would it be worth replacing detention sphere with fencing ace to try to increase my creature count?

essentially, theyre the same. they both remove 2/2 level creatures. Fencing ace, however, takes out Thalia, who is becoming more relevant. I just think that D-Sphere is a wasted slot in this deck. you dont want to be spending turn 3 on removal, you should be playing an anchantment and swinging for game, or near win.

Ok I'll try that. Thanks. There anything else you see that might help?

the ability to make your shit unblockable would be pretty good...Ghostform could win you games, whereas Azorius Charm doesnt help all THAT much. its good, but ghostform could potentially be better

Hmmm I'll give it a try but azorius charm had been good to me in the past.

How does this setup look?

looks faster. your turn 3 is now an Etheral armor and a spectral flight on a Fencing ace, making id a 5/5 flying doublestriker, putting them on a two turn clock....that should help you see why hes better than tithe drinker lol

What would you say about dropping tithe drinker for daggerdrone imp for the evasion?

I would drop the Tithe Drinker for another Spectral flight and a couple Ghostforms

You don't think I need the extra creatures?

no. just dont keep an opening hand without a cheap creature and a couple enchants.

I've also been taking a tackle at this...

I've designed this one for against aggro at the moment, and everything in the SB is for switching against control/Midrange. I'm going to test it later today and i'll let you know how it does against a RDW and Gruul aggro. Let me know what you think.

I think Divine Favor is going to be a great addition here. It gets your one drops out of searing spear range + any other enchant gets you out of Mizzium Mortars range. The lifelink from Mark of the vampire and azorius charm will hopefully let you stabilize turn 3-4 for a turn 4-5 kill with Invisible Stalker + Divine Favor + Ethereal Armor.

Oh and before you mention it, I havent had the chance to shell out 80$ for 4 geist yet, so Ascended lawmage is taking its place. Geist is what will be going there in the future.
