This is my real life deck. It is a modified version of the Theros Intro Pack called "Favors from Nyx." Upon purchase of this deck, I also bought a deckbuilder's toolkit from 2013 and some booster packs, as I wanted to get into Magic in real life.
I had played Duels of the Planeswalkers on my Xbox for quite some time and began to really enjoy the Magic series. So, one day I decided that I would have physical cards in my hand for once, instead only seeing them on the screen. When I first got the cards, I thought I had a pretty awesome deck. . . And then after a while, I went and looked through the deck I had and noticed that the deck I made really wasn't any good. (This was after I became a more "wizened" Magic player. So, I took the cards from Favors from Nyx, remade the deck with my own modifications and present it to you today. The reason it's not much different, is unfortunately I don't have the money to go out and buy a whole lot of booster packs. So, right now I'm kind of stuck with this deck.
Now, this story also offers a little bit of a back story as to how I got into deck building. I started making decks on a website called MTGDeckbuilder.net. On there, price is not listed on the completed decks, so I had no idea how expensive they were getting. One day though, I was bored and was looking for other sources of deck building when I stumbled across MTGVault.
When I started making decks, I paid no attention to the price whatsoever. Then, I stumbled across a more renowned deck builder on here. His name was Northern Warlord. When I saw his decks, I was just fascinated with them, and I saw how he made them for budget players. I then went back to some of my beginning decks and I noticed that the prices were a little high. I then started to do the same as Northern. I began to make Budget decks for all to see. I make these decks for those who face money issues in real life, but they love to play Magic. So, that is why I have made and will continue to make Budget decks on here. Every once and a while I'll make a deck that's not a Budget deck, as seen by some of my recent decks. But, either way, I will keep on making budget decks. And I hope that one day someone may purchase one of the decks I've made. Heck, I know one day I'll be buying a few of my decks that I've made on here.
Anyways, if you read this whole story, I thank you for taking your time to learn a little more about me. I'm always happy to make decks if I ever were to get requests, and I'm always to give advice to others or receive advice on my decks. Again, thank you for reading and keep on building!
