played a league and beat lands, oops, and humans. I lost to sneak and show and goblins. The sneak matchup didn't seem great but was definitely winnable with the hand disruption, I lost game 1 easily but user error in game 2 lost me the game when I had lethal on board, who knows how game three would have gone. Goblins seemed like there was no way I was ever going to win. Theros was the first block that I really bought and played, it was my first block in general pretty much, and I have always loved the cards. I remember the standard format was also very interesting with mono blue and mono black devotion being the best two decks. Nightveil specter was played in both decks and I just love the card. So its kind of a bunch of pet cards turned into a pet deck. I was really happy to go 3-2 and had a good time closing games out with gray merchant again.
There is something so satisfying about playing dark ritual on turn 1, playing an nightveil specter, and then imagining what the F*** your opponents thinking. The sideboard felt pretty good in the couple matches I played. I am not expert in sideboarding so I just went with some generic options. In game 3 against lands i actually sided out all my blue cards and put in the leylines and bitterblossoms and just went mono black devotion beat down for the win with them holding pryoblast in hand.Bitterblossom seems like a pretty versatile card tbh and I found myself bringing it in quite a bit across a coupe different matchups for a little extra agro.

In the goblin matchups plague engineer the creature, might be less awesome than engineered plague, the enchantment.I'm currently testing out magus of the moon vs blood moon, and the funny thing is that blood moon wins out, because it's harder to remove on the average. The same might be true with your plague setup.
