no Joraga Warcaller? It is very good with the magistrate

ah, ok
actually, if you search for the rules on EDH, you'll find that it says "If it has a colored mana symbol anywhere on the card that is not part of your commanders colors" not just the cmc. Here, I'll link you it.https://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/article.aspx?x=magic/rules/edhyou can also go here: http://mtgcommander.net/rules.phpand under deck construction, you can see that it tells you (with the detail thingie up) that your commanders color identity is all of the colored mana that show on the card itself, and after that it tells you (again, with the detail thingie up) that a card may not have any other color identity than the commander that you're using. (it says this under #3 in case you're having a hard time finding it)Still don't believe me? Well, somebody is eventually going to tell you IRL how it works if you play with other people than friends, so I don't really care all that much if you still won't believe me. Have a good day (or night?) either way :)
You can't have blind obedience, it has a black mana symbol in it.
Urbis Protector? It could be switched out for the wolf rider as it gives you a flying 4/4 token and a 1/1 chump blocker. Barely costs anything price wise too. It does cost 1 more mana though, but that is forgivable if this is budget.
Also, consider the medic and the spell that summons two allies. The Cleric seriously makes your life total go skyhigh! If they don't shoot them down early, they're going to have a bad time.
Sea Gate Loremaster without Reliquary Tower? What is this madness?!
I perfer spreading seas over aquitect's will just because it a) always gives you another card (this one requires you to wait until turn 3 in order to get that card draw) and it can also remove any characteristics that the land already had. Play it on turn 3 vs a double color player (pretty easy to find) on the land that he has only one of to give him trouble. You can check out one of my two merfolk decks if you want to get some sort of inspiration. Another great card would be quicksilver fountain, since it can screw up the enemy mana pool and force him to not be able to play anything later on in the game.
I would take merrow reejerey instead of lord of atlantis because of 1) mirror matchups (if you go against my own merfolk deck for example) and 2) MANA UNTAPPING! and 3) all in all control of the battlefield. Then again, that might screw up your aether vial thingie... Hmmm... You decide, my own two merfolk decks might not really be of any help in the case of inspiration, given that you're running an aether vial deck.
at first glance, I thought this was an EDH deck. It has ay too many different things to have remotely good consistency. A general rule of building a consistent deck is to alawys have 4 of everything, unless you have a very good specific reason to not have 4 of it (good reason would be to have less than 4 legends, as you'd end up ith 2 or more in hand a lot of times. A bad reason ould be "but I like to have these 3 other cards too! Because I like 'em")
Have you ever considered removing the 5 monored cards in this deck for something else? It would allow you to not have to use so many dual lands and mana fixers. Then again, Spike Jester is used with the demigod hands. The 2nd one is only 3 -1/-1 counters though.
With only 18 lands, I would personally get 4 of the Aether vials, just so tht you could constantly put things out on the field. As said before, you should not have too many of the same legendary thing. I personally only run with 2 of the same legend as a max, but if you REALLY need it in hand no matter what, 3 should also work. Never 4 though, as you'd surely almost always en up with one in hand, but you could also quite often end up with 2 or even 3 in hand easily.
I personally think the Blademaster coukd work really well. It starts out as a 2/2 with first strike + vigilance for 2 and can only grow after that (given that he actually gets more allies, which you've said is pretty low). None the less, it still starts out as a great card.
Indomitable Ancients is a pretty hilrious card when combined with Doran. Vanilla 2/10 for the win! :DEDIT: Unstoppable Ash is also pretty good with treefolk decks.
Personally, I would play with "Hokori, Dust Drinker" just so the enemy player can't get to their big late game spells. It keeps everyone in the early game for longer. That's exactly the place where this deck would shine
that's actually pretty awesome card :O ty! ^^
the mana cost is the other way around, but you're right on what you're saying. Thought scour is the only thing that comes to mind in getting cards in your yard without losing card advantage... Hmmm... Dread Return wouldn't be that great in this deck, given that you're not playing with that many smaller cards or tokens to sac... But you can cast it from your yard if anything.
I don't have the money for one of the legendaries. I'm still in high school, so ccan't afford 20-30$ on "just a piece of cardboard". The quicksilver amulet looks ok money wise and could actually work pretty well with the deck! I could take that into consideration if I every buy the deck :) thanks for opinions! <3
thanks! :)
Hmmm, if our group ever gets bigger than 3-4, I'll add those in. But for now, I guess the deck looks pretty solid for our smaller group :P thanks for the suggestions! Will remember them!
