Deck discussion for Gruulgari Scavenger

i don't get why this is unloved at this point, it seems well constructed and thought out, granted, i'd swap in or at least sideboard a few creatures with flying or reach to protect you from airborne threats.

I agree with pyrothos, some flying might be smart, especially to scavenge onto. Vampire nighthawk could do some serious work with 5 counters on him.

Wow I wasn't expecting so much feedback so quickly. I mark all my new decks as unloved because usually my decks don't get many comments and I end up not fixing them. I was not aware of the deck type name but I like to come up with something creative. It makes mote people look at the deck that way.(brand recognition is key) ill SB some nighthawks because that is a good idea. Just need some more SB cards and im all good. It'll be easier to build one after I test it out at FNM(er..T[hursday]NM technically. FNM at my local shop is a draft)

Nice deck, I don't know that two guilds together can get nice damage.

Check my Golgari deck, tell what I can add, delete ; ]

I ran this deck for a while, and take it from me that Burning-Tree is terrible in it. Think about it, what can you really hit off of it? Not Spike Jester or Lotleth Troll, which is what you want to be hitting. Flinthoof Boar is nice instead. Also, decide if you want to run more top end creatures like falkenrath aristocrat and thundermaw or smaller creatures like experiment one. Arbor Elf is nice in this deck as well because it allows for a turn 2 domri or varolz.

Flinthoof boar is a must. its a 3/3 for 2 mana almost always and can be played off of your emisarry. And it's still a 3/3 in the graveyard for varolz.

Ok so I used this deck at TNS this week and the 2biggest problems I had were dealing with instants/sorceries(got my ass handed to me by a grixis control deck) and too many lands(my other loss was due to drawing ALL lands during one game and somehow not drawing any creatures the next despite half my deck being creatures). Im thinking of going down to 22 lands and adding some fliers/protection from___ creatures.

Too clunky. But I scrapped this deck because rotation will pretty much kill it. Check out my latest monstrosity :)
