Deck Description

A Splinter Twin deck splashing black. Discard adds an incredible amount of resilience to the deck, and between Inquisition and Gitaxian Probe you will amost always know what's in your opponent's hand. The deck plays like a very consistent control deck with a very early win.

Card Choices:
Deciever Exarch/Splinter Twin - These two cards form a combo that wins games very quickly and efficiently in the current Standard
Gitaxian Probe - Free cantrip lets you dig deeper, also good for knowing what's in your opponent's hand so you can play perfectly. Playing this before your combo makes sure it won't be disrupted.
Preordain/See Beyond - Dig spells to find your combo. See Beyond lets you send back extra lands or Splinter Twins.
Inquisition of Kozilek - This card is invaluable vs almost every deck in the current standard. It deals with every card from Stoneforge Mystic to Beast Within to Goblin Guide.
Spell Pierce - Early counterspell for walkers and problem permanents. Good for protecting combo.
Lightning Bolt - Spot removal invaluable vs aggro and Jace/other walkers.
Mana Leak - General good counterspell and strong card.
Into the Roil - Use to slow down other decks and dig. Your best tool vs Pyromancer Ascension.
Go For The Throat - Solid removal, especially useful vs Titans. Good vs aggro too.

Deck discussion for URB Splinter Twin

i play a very similar build and im actually taking it to a ptq and some big events and my sideboard has calcite snappers, frost titan and maybe jwar isle guy (blue rare besieged) since after game 1 your opponent will put in lots of removal to break combo and a 2nd win condition is brutal for them especially when they all have shroud.
