Deck discussion for Vampire Control

Nice deck! I have one that runs a similar kind of mechanic http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=162680

Thats pretty good, having it be standard legal would be pretty hard though without dark rituals and such. But ya look at the recommendations i put on your deck link.

Very nice. Love vampire/destroy decks, have one of my own: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=188770

The fact that you consistently get a lot of low drops and nothing's over a 5 cost makes this deck fast and quick, which is perfect for vamps.

Thanks your deck looks pretty solid, I would suggest that for your deck if you really wanted to you could really take advantage of nirkana revenant, with things like endless scream, exsanguinate, death cloud, black sun zenith, stuff with x in the converted mana cost would go awesome if you turned your deck's focus toward nirkana.

Thanks, first of all for your deck the first thing i would change is taking a soren out, because there's nothing more frustrating than to have two legendaries or planeswalkers in your hand and not being able to play them, and with three sorens, that's bound to happen. i would also reconsider nirkana cutthroats, theyre pretty bulky if you arent running training grounds and a pain if someone can just remove it before its fully leveled. i would throw in more nighthawks, who for the same mana are flying, deathtouch, and lifelink, which is indisputably better than having to waste three mana a turn to get nirkana up there. Also with blade of the bloodchief, you should angle your deck towards aggro, or board control with more removal, which would make the blades even more useful, but with the way it is right now, there wont be as many creatures entering the graveyard as there could be. i also dont know about those bloodghasts, they are incredible in the fact that they are almost indestructible, but i find them useless if you are trying to outlast your opponent to get bigger creatures out such as kalitas, seeing as they cant block, i would fill in some simple 1 or 2 drops like pulse tracker, or bloodseeker if your looking for a long game.

Im still thinking on whether to keep 1 or put another Drana in and take a 1/1 vamp out il experiment but any suggestions on what i should do?

Taking out Bloodchief Ascension might be a good way to get the deck closer to 60 cards. You can't count on drawing it consistently because you've only got one copy.

Ya thats a thought, i might just keep it in for big multiplayer games where it really does some damage, but for 1 on 1's it could be taken out i guess. Thanks

This is pretty damn awesome, Holmes. I think my vamp deck would be torn appart by this one.
The only suggestion I have, is: Sadistic Glee - combined with Anowon, Urge, Feast, GFTT you would be making endless +1 +1 counter's in no effin time

Check out my puny vamp deck:

Thats a good thought, but i was thinking cause my friends play with a fair deal of control, and equipment is just way more helpful to have in the long-run if your creature is going to die within a couple turns, but it is definitely a great card to interchange depending on who you are playing with.

Nice decks, Personally i think i prefer captivating vampire to the alternative black/red commander with her "gain control of target vampire ability" I just think tribal decks work best most of the time with mono lands. Just one less thing to be inconsistent about. Your decks look pretty solid though!
