Deck Description

Vintage dragon sneak attack/reanimator deck that gets the big boys out without paying casting costs.

From the hand: Sneak Attack (Elvish Piper - sideboard)

Filling the graveyard: Entomb, Buried Alive, Faithless Looting, Fauna Shaman, Liliana

From the graveyard: Animate Dead, Necromancy, Doomed Necromancer

Recycling the graveyard: Deathrite Shaman, Scavenging Ooze

Defense: Sylvan Caryatid, Lightning Bolt, Liliana, Dreadbore

Dragons: All have abilities that take effect when they enter or leave the battlefield.

I just got back into Magic so I could play my 5th and 6th grade students. This is a rebuild/update of an old deck I had years ago. I'm hoping it can be consistent with 80 cards and enough combo pieces. I don't want to narrow it down to 60 cards with 4 copies of a handful of cards. I'm trying to find a balance between the deck being powerful yet continually fun to play over time. This is my only deck and I don't want it to get boring. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How to Play

Get dragons into the graveyard early and often. Then reanimate them. Perfect start is a 7/8 dragon with haste on turn 2 (1. Entomb -- 2. Reanimate). Other option is using Sneak Attack and Elvish Piper to spring dragons from hand. Use Lightning Bolts, Dreadbore, etc for early defense.
