The best offense is a good defense, and best defense is a good offense! This deck takes that somewhat literally. With High Alert and Arcades, the Strategist, it lets your early walls that stop other aggro decks, suddenly become online and attack for massive swings each turn, able to 2 shot or sometimes one-shot control decks! This was more of a midrange deck, but with the prominence of Blue Black X Control , it was too slow to beat aggro, and too slow to stop control. So I've turned it into an aggro deck. Done well so far, had one 4/0 running and had 3 3/Xs recently at LGS. :) Booty
You want to get several of your walls out early on turn 1-3. Best case scenario is Saruli Caretaker turn one, turn two drop 2 walls. Then on turn 3 or 4, you want to resolve an High Alert or Arcades, the Strategist. From there you are swinging for 9-11 damage each turn. Arcades does become as "5"/5 as well with High Alert in play, and with both in play, it's harder for an opponent to remove one of them and stop your walls from being animated. From there, a quick Tower Defense, or Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive should wrap up the match really quick. In this deck Dive Down becomes better blossoming defense. You want to get your creatures out of your hand quickly vs Blue/Black X because with dive down they are far safer in play than in hand or even deck sometimes. With aggro you can be patient, and just sit with your defenders that will kill their attackers. Overall it's a pretty fun deck, and can steal games with unexpected explosive early turns. :)
