The idea is to use the flicker effect of Legion's Initiative to eke a massive amount of value out of Fanatic of Mogis, Purphoros, Viashino Firstblade, and Foundry Street Denizen. There are also more R/W multicolored creatures than normal burn decks because of the Initiative being a nice anthem effect. It runs really well. It seems to operate a little slower than normal red decks, with more damage potential.
Even without a nut draw you should have a lot of damage on the table by turn 5 or 6, just watch out for Verdicts. With a nut draw you'll almost certainly win the game by turn 5.Play Rakdos CacklerPlay Legion's Initiative, Combat phase-3Play Boros Reckoner, Combat phase -3 Play Fanatic of Mogis -6 immediately, Combat phase -3 -4Play Ash Zealot, Combat phase -2 -3 -4 -5, Activate Initiative at the end step, -7 on their combat phasePretty normal progression. Multiple Fanatics are one of the best draws you can get, and both Akroan Hoplite and Viashino Firstblades are far beefier than they should be. A fun trick is saving the mana to activate the Initiative for their turn (this is smarter to dodge Verdicts anyways, and represents Boros Charm) then activating it after their combat phase sometime. Before your combat phase on your turn cast Purphoros. The flurry of triggers you will gain when your creatures bounce back in will probably kill them without even attacking. The opponent's best bet is to just use removal on everything, but mass removal is difficult at best vs a deck with Initiative and Boros Charm (the one exception is Drown in Sorrow since it blanks Charm, be wary of over committing vs someone who plays that). The amount of haste and ETB burn punishes trying to 1 for 1 with regular removal too!Have fun!
