Deck Description

The Challenge: A series of decks that my friends ask me to make. Check out the others.

This time it is a standard U/G defensive control deck for 2 HG. I would like to see this deck stand by itself though. Finally made a sideboard.

Deck discussion for The Challenge: #2

I was thinking of fog and stuffy doll in the sb. Could I get some help with it?

Fog, yes. Stuffy Doll? Mmmm... no.

Fog would be good but stuffy just doesn't fit but maybe thats my opinion. howl of the night pack of incresing savegry would be good especialy with predator ooze and primordial hydra. also wolfir silverheart would be really nice. If you could look at my tap deck i would appriciate it thanks.

Thanks. I'm going to have to agree about stuffy doll. It's a good card but it doesn't belong in this deck. Also, I finally completed the sideboard, so let me know what you think.

Drop frost titan. Hes not good. All he does is a single tap down for a turn and he has a watered down hexproof. So if opponent pays 2 they can still hit him sucks! Plus he only protects himself. Use asceticism instead. And forzen æther isnt that bad either. But those are just my thoughts. This is an awesome deck btw.

Just to back up the frost titan thing, he only cost $2.50 and thats only a default mythic rares and cause hes really worth it. No body wants him, because hes just crap. Lol

Nice deck. This would be interesting to play against in 2 HG.

I'd probably put a couple swords in at the very least, Frost Titan isn't that great in this deck. Think you decide whether you want to play more beefy aggro or more defensive like you are now, cause the 2 don't really mix imo, besides tree of redemption which is just an amazing card.

Oh and Ambush Vipers are good.

add Tamio instead of frost giant.

This is very nice as it is for a two headed match, i would imagine that your "better half" would be running red green aggro or something?

Actually what my friend was going to use it with was a deck like your Splintertree deck. Don't ask why. That is why I have Ground Seal in the sb.

ghostly flicker with the tree if your health gets really low constantly gives you 13 then the same thing can be done with worm if a killing blow would happen to hit you and what would think of feed the pack with the tree if you have a second tree in hand ( sac tree make wolf tokens play tree again next turn and have army of wolves for whatever)

I like the idea of the wurm and the tree.

erm Thrun has hexproof...

Thrun is legendary, so cloning he effectively kills him as you can't have 2 identical legendary creatures on the battlefield. Hexproof is irrelevant when it comes to cloning as clone cards don't target

Seems like a fun deck. Only thing I would say is you should sideboard Redirect and Naturalize. Both good cards if can be used but there are many decks, which against they just fill your hand for nothing. Everything else I could point out is just a matter of opinion.
