Even if not yet competitive, I'd figure it'd be fun to play.Thoughts?

Amazing. Might cause some budget issues to build, though.+1 like

Definitely not a budget build. Glad you like it.
Quite interesting. I would like to see it played and watch Gods turn each other online.
Same here.
I think what you mean to day is see the gods turn eachother on. ;)
-edit- say*
can you have more then one god out along as their different? just curious because of the legendary creature clause. you can have them out as long as their not same name correct?
I personally think that it would be pretty hard to get all of that devotion, but the abilities would compensate for it.
It'll take some tweaking, but fun to play nonetheless.
if you have all 15 gods on the battlefield, you have devotion for all 15 gods. that being said, this is a terrible deck.
What would you do to make it not terrible in your opinion.
not run 15 gods......
That's the entire point of this deck.
and it wont win because of it. its a cute idea, it doesnt hold water though.
lol I see one of my fans has been through here.
Ninja is right, it's a cute idea. Though it holds practically no playability.
It's far more playable than you might think. A friend of mine proxied up a version and it holds up quite well.
I've been playing this game for 15 years. I think I know what's playable and what is not. I am not saying it isn't playable, but I am saying it is no tournament winner.
I guess I can agree with you there. I've only been playing for 3/4 years. Merciless Eviction laughs at this deck.
Geeze, SOME people didn't read the description.
Seriously, the red one pops up everytime someone posts "Oh this deck sucks for this reason or that reason" just read the description, and I won't have to be annoyed by the little red one.
Boom. That's cool. Giving +1 like now.So, you wanted me create budget version of this...I am wondering now that is it possible...
I don't think its possible but your probably could create a deck around one of the gods. Maybe something like Budget Decks: Athreos Approves kinda thing.
The only cheep way of making this deck is to have a complete proxy deck.
Aiming for that God Booster Pack, yeah?
That'd be nice.
I guy st the prerelease got one
I don't think this is playable. *thumbs down*
The challenge is to make it playable. Thoughts?
If you really want to play all gods than take out your sorcerys and instants.Add 2x Chromatic Lantern and 2x Mana ConfluenceAdd 4x Opaline Unicorn, 4x Transguild Promenade or 4x Manaweft SliverIt would be better to take the 4x Manaweft Sliver, because of the Sylvan Caryatid. So you could get some Greencolored Gods easier to a creature. If you draw one ;)Maybe you can switch some lands. But at least you need 5 Gods for a Multigod or 4 Gods for a Monogod to make it a creature. So it can take 8-9 rounds if you got lucky befor you have a creature. But it will normaly take more rounds. So i don't think this is playable.
You wont have any devotion to your gods, and I dont see a win condition; I would definitely put 4 Chromanticore in because it's a pretty good 5 color card.
If you had looked at the deck you would have seen it as a 4 of.
Sorry, didnt see it because everything is an Enchantment Creature. But yes, I did look at the deck as a matter of fact.
You would definitely need protection from enchantment exile and most cards that do that are white. Maybe put in a couple counter spells or God's Willing? You would have to boost your white and blue mana pool to do that, though. Maybe add a few fogs as well to help delay damage while you try to build devotion. One other thing, remember gods are considered creatures in all game zones, unless they are on the battlefield without devotion, so Prophet of Kruphix would allow you to cast a god as though it had flash, even if you do not have the devotion yet. It would remain a creature until it hits the battlefield. Also, Archetype of Endurance, though costly, would make your gods (once they hit devotion and become creatures) nearly impossible to get rid of.
True. Just updated the sideboard. Thoughts?
If we are just looking at Charms, I really like the Azorius and Simic Charms, but I would replace Dimir Charm with Izzet Charm. Also, the Selesnya Charm doesn't really seem to be doing much in this situation, so I'd take it out all together and put in something like Mizzium skin for hexproof.
you should think about running slaughter games.
nah hes not playing control really so it wont matter
its was just an idea. i personally dont really like any of the gods besides athreos but what would you suggest?
since it seems likema late game deck to save space for more gods i wouldnt run the creature based gods just the passive effect gods and i woudl run 2 of each and include some planeswalkers, after that focus on some of the best removal of each color and what would give the best coverage like abrupt decay. have green as your base color for the mana ramp and fixing and that would be a good place to start. Then again i havent played ina while and my suggestions might not be valid
^ dont listen to this noob just have fun with your deck man
i really think with the right land base and trimming some of the "not so worshipped" gods you could really make this a threatening deck
I'm working on a few different versions. I hope they work.
oh a good draw engine like underwolrd connections could really help, but if sphinx is all you need then stick with it
nah man no draw engine he should abuse constallation, that could get nasty
why not both?
i like the way you think
^those comments though.
wow kj ur a nut lol. but now u have inspired me to make a commander using them all hahahahaha!!!http://cardgametalk.blogspot.com/
Post a link when you are done.
haha u know i will bud. im almost done with it actually lol will it work meh probably not but it is fun for an ideahttp://cardgametalk.blogspot.com/
Keeping this standard is what's holding it back from being competitive and playable. Legacy would give you the stuff you need to make the deck work.Elvish Pipers/Quicksilver Amulet = Don't have to worry about mana curve and get the gods out fasterSterling Grove/Greater Auramancy = ProtectionAcademy Rector = Find them and puts them outEnlightened Tutor = Search
here ya r kj, its not much of a winning deck i dont think but it seems like a blast to use lolMana Clash-http://www.mtgvault.com/demonking28/decks/mana-clash/http://cardgametalk.wordpress.com/
So I made another one...http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/decks/dictate-of-the-gods/
Just sample handed third hand I tried was a chromanticore on turn 4 and another turn 5. 2 chromanticores on turn 5
'God' Pack wars
I turned your idea into a 3 color deck and I think it will be playablehttp://www.mtgvault.com/vaan104/decks/gods-help-us/
Hey guys could you check out my new deck blood suckers ThAnks
The only way you'd really be able to survive long enough to do anything is by trying to stave off death by making dudes with Heliod, which really isn't a viable plan. The lands are really what's going to kill you. They'll either slow you down to the point that by the time you can do anything, it won't even matter, or you'll take so much damage that your opponent only has half the work to do.
Posted my edh that uses all the gods. http://www.mtgvault.com/ktrojan/decks/god-dam/
This deck is win... +1 , if this was not only for standard maybe you could add karona, false god. Like the theroan (yep theroan) gods thought she was a real god, but then when she goes to an opponent they realize that she is a FALSE GOD. If you can I'm making a deck for each of the gods, would love some help from you.
I tried making something like this myself, you can take a look at it yourself and judge it if you want, I would appreciate it.http://www.mtgvault.com/gaston205/decks/if-the-gods-be-for-us/As for your deck, mana definitely will not be an issue with you, but what will be is the amount of it. Your land base is a little high, and you might find yourself drawing into lands instead of the gods you need. Now, sphix rev and scry lands can help with this, but what you really need are ways to dig through your deck quicker, I've found that the new Ajani, the new Garuuk, and even Commune with the Gods are all great cards to help you get those gods.Good luck!
Pretty awesome. If I crack a god pack, I might construct this. Though if I do, I'll probably transform it into a Modern deck... first order of business: Replacing those Chromatic Lanterns with Prismatic Omens, since every single test hand (albeit one or two being post-mulligan) had a land card capable of producing green mana... one mana cheaper and would help with green devotion.
i like the chromanticore in it
You could make a vintage playable all gods deck that mills itself and then casts replentish.
I don't play vintage so I wouldn't know.
Child of AlaraFusion ElementalMaelstrom ArchangelMaelstrom NexusGenju of the RealmOnly for devotion of all colors. Choose the best.
None of which are standard.
While we are on this topic, progenitus. Not standard, I know. I like the idea by the way. The problem that I see is the fact that most of the gods don't have very good synergy with each other. That being said, I was thinking about doing a black white red deck with a heavy focus on God interactions. The reason is that purphy deals damage when a creature enters the field, athreos recycles them or gives a player a bolt to the face. Iroas protects your creatures from chumping. It isn't perfect synergy but it could work. Let me know of any other interactions you can think of. (Especially if it involves kruphix. I was one lucky dude on gameday. I pulled two kruphix and a phenax at the prerelease.) Oh yeah, purphy, keranos, and mogis, the gods of lifepoint ping.
lol if u want something carzzy just check out the EDH deck i designed after seeing this. Mana Clash-http://www.mtgvault.com/demonking28/decks/mana-clash/http://cardgametalk.blogspot.com/
if u start running lots of multicolors for devotion and go away from standard add dragon arch it put in your multicolors for 2 colorless mana

Hey guys could you plz check out my blood suckers deckThanks
TURBO FOG
I think you've taken the wrong approach to your mana base, It's not advisable to have more then 6 lands in a deck that would enter tapped. I would focus on the white, blue & green producing shocks with an equal amount of basics and 6 temples 4 Mana Confluence with a total of 22 . As well you will need 4 fogs and perhaps even another 4 defend the hearth to let you survive long enough to actually swing with a god. Good luck I don't think it's gonna be that effective even with all that.
swap out a few lands and put in 4 darksteel ingots
purphoros, nylea, xenagos, and iroas all seem pretty useless unless you have heliod in play. phenax and athreos do absolutely nothing to help your (apparently) controlling gameplan, all your creatures will be indestructible or tokens and you have no milling support cards. how often do you expect to have devotion up for all these gods? because otherwise i would take out all the ones i mentioned and run multiple copies of the gods that are left so you can have more consistency in your gameplan (which seems to be control).when i look at this deck, it just looks like you tossed all of them in a deck just cuz and devoted no time to the strategy behind the gods. many of them aren't synergistic with eachother and will just sit on the battlefield looking stupid cause you dont have the devotion count up. unless of course and i am wrong and athreos is always a creature turn three.... otherwise, you seriously need to think about the gameplan more if you want this deck to work.please let me know if i am completely missing the mark here, but i have no idea what this deck is trying to accomplish besides being an "all gods deck in standard". if it is a casual/non-competitive deck, then i don't see any reason not to make this a real 5 color deck and use some legacy stuff to make sure you have consistent devotion by turn 4-5.
The goal is to make a competitive all gods deck in standard. This is a sample hand. http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/decks/in-the-name-of-the-gods/sample-hand/
yes, i know. and yes, i've seen sample hands. but does it the deck work? can it work? why will it work? what can you do to improve it? what's your wincondition? a 20 damage rakdos return? do you even want it to be competitive? can you answer any of these questions?
dude, why are you grilling him? we get it. you dont think the deck will work. playing 20 questions doesnt help. this reads like advice from a condescending prick.
Wow, morgoth424, you sound like you're a bucket of fun to hang out with. Dude has a base for a deck he wants to make it work, so that's why it's here with people brainstorming. If that's not your thing, captain of the no-fun club, you can take your ball and go home.I'm going to stay here and help make this dang thing doable!
sample hands are not very good on this website
i didn't mean to come off as condescending. i was just legitimately interested in the thought process behind the deck. if you look at any of my decks i've posted, you can tell most of them are casual decks not meant for competitive play either. sooo me being a no-fun spike is sorta quite off the mark ;P i ask questions of the original poster just so i can learn what he is thinking, and then i can make better suggestions to help his gameplan. he just replied that it is supposed to be a competitive god deck. what am i supposed to do, tell him his deck is fine and he should take it to the next GP? of course not, THAT would be cruel and condescending. him giving so little info about the deck confuses me cause it gave me no ground on which to give him advice about his deck. i would love to help him make his deck competitive, but it requires a little more effort on his part. all those questions are just questions i would ask anyone if they are building a deck.and you guys are right, my second comment was a little uncalled for. and i sincerely apologize for it.
I apologize for not commenting earlier, it is difficult to do via phone. After some thought(and playing with friends earlier), I have to agree with you guys. The likelihood that I would have the devotion needed to use the gods as creatures is slim to none. Thus I updated it a little bit.
thank you for an intelligent response KJ (unlike some of these other users who just seem to want to argue).i love the changes you made, prophet of kruphix and nightveil specter are insane for this deck, and boros reckoner seems like a great target for a chromanticore bestow. it still seems like you are being really greedy with the mana base and trying to fit every single god in the deck, but now it's engine is raw power instead of mere controlling the boardstate (which it didnt do very well in the first place). the only thing i can think of now is maybe replacing a chromanticore for a third chromatic lantern, as it seems imperative to draw it in a 5color deck. (i lied, phenax is also very very weak in this deck-- just not enough support cards for him) otherwise, seems like a fun overall deck.
needs more slivers
why? dind't make sense.
If you don't mind going non-standard I feel like you could definitely make a 15-god deck playable if you were going for a graveborn sort of deck. Tossing them to the graveyard and reanimating them in a primary black deck could be surprisingly workable. For standard-specific stuff... I know you've got the Chromanticores in there for the devotion, which is cool, but I can't help but think that the deck would be more playable by subbing them out for some artifact creatures like Opaline Unicorn, Guardians of Meletis, Akroan Horse, etc. Much more playable and gives you much-needed bodies on the ground. Opaline Unicorn helps for potential fixing issues, too.Getting this deck to work in standard is going to be insanely difficult, for a few reasons. First, it's VERY slow and standard meta is blazingly fast right now. Second, there is an insane amount of removal in standard both for creatures and enchantments, which makes your task even tougher. Lastly, counter magic can really screw this deck quick as well.Good luck, I hope someone comes up with a creative solution to make this sort of playable!
I don't see how this deck has any game against more aggressive midrange and aggro decks. Sure you have Supreme Verdict, but you likely won't be getting a creature besides Caryatid until turn 5 or 6, at which point you are probably dead. Also 4 Mana Confluence seems really important.
LOL, very amusing idea.Problem is; a lot of the god's abilities revolve around creatures. Athreos, Purphoros, and Ephara are nigh, useless.Maybe with tweaking, voice of resurgence, boros reckoner, frostburn weird, some springleaf drum, 4 mana confluence, 4 nightveil spectre. this could work with certain gods.
you have no defense against, well pretty much anything... black or burn will eat this deck alive, blue will counter every god before they touch the field, and green or white can swarm through your supreme edict.
Is it just me or is "Chromantigod" a totally missed title opportunity...
As "fun" as it may be. This deck will fail so hardcore. #1 You can't rely on having right mana to play w/e god is in your hand, #2 There are way too many destroy/exile target enchantment and creature cards that you'll rarely ever be actually get a god to even play. #3 and most importantly, due to the fact that most of the god's abilities help and/or run off the actions of other creatures or spells and all you have is gods (which aren't creatures), most of your abilities will be useless b/c you can't get the right devotion on the field to make them creatures. It's a cool thought, but it will simply fail really hardcore for a ridiculous amount of money to be spent.
I agree. 1 return to nature and half the deck is gone. Even if you take out half the gods keeping the ones that share some colors and add in some supporting cast, it would make a HUGE difference.
That's the point of the deck though to have all the gods
Heroes podium seems reasonable here
yeah. because the deck with no creatures wants something that doesnt add devotion, right?
Seems legit.
If you put all of the gods on board at the same time, they can maintain devotion for each other...and coat of arms effect. The podium has been awesome for my edh deck that runs a full set of gods, and since this isn't really a competitive deck, I don't think it matters too much.As an added point, most of the gods have reasonable abilities even without maintaining devotion.Oh, and there is no reason to be rude Ninja...=(
60 cards vs 100 cards. it matters. I am fully aware that the gods provide devotion to each other. when your hand is Swamp/forest, Plains/Swamp, Thassa, Purphoros, Iroas, Xenagos, and Keranos, and you topdeck Heroes Podium, you will want to kill your neighbors cat. your idea is bad, and you should feel bad.
Again...this isn't a spikey deck, otherwise I would not suggest such things. You're not being very polite. You should feel bad about that. I won't though. =)
i think your own words apply here ninja.... what were they again? oh ya. "this reads like advice from a condescending prick."
Hm, Heroes' Podium is a neat idea here, though I'm not convinced it's terribly effective considering the somewhat obvious holes the deck has. As fun as it would be to drop when you have all your gods down, it seems like an extremely unlikely play to me.
Jedc, at least I am adding to the conversation. my comment was not condescending at all, it was an example of something that is likely a very common problem. Hero's Podium is literal trash in a deck that has "occasional creatures" and even when the gods are active, the card is just win-more, and doesnt even hit all the gods or actual creatures unless you draw multiples.
I heard a deck idea about this last week from a friend of mine I think it was edh form though not standard but it still sounded awesome! Nice work!Little known fact all 15 gods on the board will indeed activate eachother!Check out my latest deck post http://www.mtgvault.com/genisphere/decks/junk-enchantments/
I love this deck. +1!I saw the heroes podium and decided to run with it. Here's my version of your deckhttp://www.mtgvault.com/anders1999/decks/all-gods-competitave/
I really liked this concept, so I made one of my own, albiet as a more casual varient. If you're interested, here:http://www.mtgvault.com/shinrasamurai/decks/have-faith/Definetely a fun idea, and one that I'd be interested in actually implementing.
So the edh version of the gods deck hit our table last night the general being horde of notions my friend used cards to draw discard and filled his gy up with gods the casts open the vaults to get them all back into play it was bonkers and of course everyone dies to the purphoros triggers!Standard and edh gods are a thing.Check out my latest deck updatehttp://www.mtgvault.com/genisphere/decks/your-deck-is-mine/
I know you want 1 of each god but remove Karametra, you have no plains or forests.
She works with shocks.
