Deck Description

T1: training ground
T2: izzet guildmage
T3: manamorphose, win!

The combo works like this:
Copy manamorphose with izzetguildmage (cost is reduced my 2 because of training ground), draw your deck + a lot of mana, shoot opponent with banefire.

In my opinion, you should add more mana cards, like desperate ritual. That way the deck has more fluency with it's strategy. Also, maybe remand instead of negate.

just what i was about to say. not so much about desperate ritual but definitely use remand

That wouldn't be bad if things take a turn for the worst.

The guildmage and training grounds combo nicely, however you're wasting it on too much countermagic, which doesn't even copy well. Kinda ruins the combo. For this speed I'd add either guttersnipes or Spellheart Chimeras, remove some countermagic, keep maybe the mana leaks or negates (you can burn creatures) and add a lot more burn. That way when you're copying spells it's worth while. Also maybe goblin electromancer. Helps things work quickly. Good job with the manamorphose. Mana wise you're probably going to want some Sulfur Falls or Steam Vents.

I Can agree to the Dual lands, and sulfur falls Is fairly cheap. However, cheap counter spells seem more at home here, mainly because the deck can combo off fairly quickly and really doesn't need to worry about early creatures that are burnable.

ok, but how is this deck actually going to deal damage to a player? The combo this deck is going for works much better with burn. Congratulations! you replicated a counterspell... there's nothing to use it on. This deck can't even stall incredibly decent. I don't know many decks it could actually beat. And I'm thinking in terms of other cheap modern decks.

I would take mizzium mortars for magma jet to help get your combo. The dispels aren't a very good mainboard card in my opinion i would run either spell pierce or spell snare your choice. And i would definitely recommend finding room for serum visions and sleight of hand since you are a combo deck and don't have a lot of draw power currently so it seems your mostly going to have the combo in your opening hand or just not going to be able to get it. Vapor snag is a good card to consider also

I discovered the Izzet Guildmage/Training Grounds combo a while back, but I've never actually built the deck, the cards remain in my binder. A couple people have already mentioned that this deck needs more burn, which I definitely agree with. You have a 1 in 60 chance of pulling Banefire... so you should probably rethink your win con, or at least run a play set of Banefire. People have already mentioned Desperate Ritual, which could be awesome here, but I'm surprised no one mentioned it in conjunction with Lava Spike. You can Splice the Desperate Ritual onto Lava Spike and net RRR without even casting Desperate Ritual from hand, and if the Guildmage is active, you can copy it too!
Burn Options: Grapeshot, Forked Bolt, Shock, Twin Bolt, Cone of Flame, Arc Lightning, Stoke the Flames, etc... You're probably going to want to keep your burn spells under 3 CMC.
Also, if you do end up taking out some of your counters, you're gonna need a way to protect those guildmages. Since you're already in green with Manamorphose, I'd recommend Canopy Cover, or even Mizzium Skin (which I know is blue, :D).
There are also some pretty awesome creatures in UR that would work well in this deck: Bedlam Reveler, Guttersnipe, Grim Lavamancer, Delver of Secrets, Young Pyromancer, Cryptic Serpent, Kiln Fiend, and Monastery Swiftspear, just to name a few.
Keep it up! :D
