This deck utilizes an army of worshipers that allow you to summon powerful demons to the battlefield. Demon Worship is modern legal and aligns with mono black. This deck falls in the average cost range of between $100 and $200.
To play this deck well you'll want to play as many Shadowborn Apostles as you can so that you can start pumping out demons. This means that by turn four you can bring out your first demon; usually Griselbrand. He will allow you to draw lots of cards from your deck, hopefully more Apostles that you can put into play. Another option is, on turn two, if you have three Apostles on the field and a Demon of Death's Gate in your hand you can pay six life and sacrifice the creatures to put it into play. This is a great play as most people can't deal with a flying, trample, 9/9 on turn two or three. Also if you have five Apostles and six mana, one being Westvale Abbey, you can activate Abbey's ability and create a 9/7 demon with all sorts of fun abilities. Your other demons are there for specific opponents, Ob Nixilis is there to punish those opponents that search there deck frequently and Vilis can help you weed out the armies of foes who rely on lots of creatures. This deck can drain your life rather quickly so playing a Blood Artist when you can will allow you to drain your opponents life and heal from your dying Apostles. Finally, Immortal Servitude is a great way to bring back your fallen worshipers so that you can get more demons and potential drain more life.
