I personally wouldn't run more than 2 Brimaz, seeing as how he's legendary. You can only have one out at a time and you don't want a dead card or two in your hand.

& spirit bonds is hard to make worthwhile when you don't have very many low cost creatures to come in and trigger it.

May also want to consider some 1cmc creatures so you aren't behind the curve by only having 2 drops.

There's a lot of high cost things in here that are going to be very late game with no green to mana ramp or no real devotion to even potentially make us of some Nykthos.

All just my opinion though.

doomed traveler for the 1cmc slot. easily triggers spirit bonds and when it dies you have a flying token that in all likelihood will get pumped further.

Please consider Hero of bladehold over captain's call or spirit general. She is badass, looks amazing, and can pump out some serious tokens.

Seller of Songbirds is weak in my opinion (she doesn't make soldier tokens). Try fortify instead; it works wonders with brave the elements.

Finally, this deck needs some removal. Drop some 2 or 3 drops for it. Oblivion Ring, disenchant, etc.

If you don't care about losing extended legality, run assemble the townsfolk over raise the alarm.

there is no card called "assemble the townsfolk" Perhaps you meant "assemble the legion" or "Gather the townsfolk?"

Ill cover both bases: Assemble the Legion requires red, but would be a decent fit in this type of deck as a top end.
Gather the Townsfolk is a horrible replacement for Raise the Alarm. they cost the same, produce the same amount of tokens, and you lose instant speed with Gather, to gain a bad mechanic.....

Maybe you can try Obelisk of Urd for soldiers.
-2 wake the reflections because you already make enough tokens.
+2 brave the elements to help finish your opponent off or defend.
and add like 4 preeminent captains to help sneak in some of your soldiers, like a free captain of the watch.

0

With all the token produce and creatues you could easily get away with running 2 Obelisk of Urd, which will make your army extremely amazing and huge! Nice deck btw! Just name Soldier for Obilesk and 75% of the deck becones extremely threatening

so who's army is the best? heliod or erebos

0

I think if you replace Captain's Call with two Archangel of Thune and 4 Boros Elite in favor of Captain of the Watch and Attended Night, it would see better success, in addition, cut Phantom General for Ajani's Pridemate, and Prescient Captain for Fiendslayer Paladin, it would be an awesome Standard deck. Splashing black gives access to Erebos' whip which will gain more life and more counters from Thune keeping your token generators around longer to rinse and repeat for lots of life gain and lots more tokens.

http://www.mtgvault.com/rickell/decks/standard-monogreen-2051/ This is my deck here, I am looking to improve upon it and continue to ramp its success (pun intended) can people come over and let me know what they think will work better and make it a more appealing deck?

Dude, I will say it again: cut seller of songbirds. She does not produce soldier tokens, and there are better 3 drops. Fortify would do much more damage, especially combined with brave the elements. Oblivion ring is much more flexible, and WILL save your butt at least once.

I would say drop some of the non-soldier creatures, and add in Preeminent Captain. Azorius Arrester is a pretty solid 2CMC soldier in standard. Dawnbringer Charioteers, Fabled Hero, Paragon of New Dawns for SURE. Since you're so close to having this deck be standard, I feel like it's a somewhat obvious choice to move in that direction if it's something you care about.

I meant in the other deck. Assemble the legion is ... okay here. True, it produces tokens, but it's scarier when backed up by balefire liege and frontline medic.

I've seen a few comments about making it standard legal and I deff agree with that. with only 3 different cards to replace it's an easy move. if you really like those cards you could sideboard them to make it easy to change from standard to modern. cards to replace: attended knight < Preeminent captain, seller of songbirds<soldier of the pantheon to lower the mana curve a bit, captain's call<launch the fleet can make 4 soldiers for the same cost. or add a bit more spot removal with devouring light.

check out my mono-white soldiers deck its very similar, but strictly soldiers
