thats pretty close to what I figure it's first turn win % is... 20-25% I get alot of 2nd and 3rd turn wins out of it too when I lack that 5th mana on the first turn.

yes, thats it, but it wor't work turn one without Ad Nausium (ANT = Ad nausium Tendrils) but you probably knew that :)
cast a first turn Ad Nausium that allows you to draw about half your deck, then cast all the zero cost stuff you just drew and follow it up with a Tendrils of Agony for 20 or more
trying the "draw sample hand" on this did get me ONE 4th turn win out of 5 tries the rest was alot of sitting there, I realize thats some bad luck but it also means there needs more consistancy. my ANT deck runs Diabolic Intent for better consistancy but thats not really an option here with yours which is why this and ANT have lost popularity with the banning of mystical tutor. Not a bad deck, but not what you make it out to be either
I really like the idea, a little hard to get the full combo I think though. I think this deck is pretty clever, so I assume your a pretty smart guy, I could use help with my infinate mana deck I might be playin at Denver Grand Prix (pro tour qualifier) would you mind checkin it out?
ok so I did the Draw sample hand 12 times and has 5 tun 3 wins but 4 times it didn't look like I would do much of anything till tune 10 or so, the others were turn 5-6 arbalest kills I'm thinking of dropping Venser alltogether and changing turn aside into ponders.... any input?
this deck is awesome!!!! best deck eva
I think you could use Grand Architect very well in this deck, then you have many "win conditions" opened up to ya, I think my personal favorite would be a turn 4 fireball for one kagillion billion.
I AM fond of gelectrode and I run him with Kiln in a deck that does well, and this deck is how it is because those are cards I do have.... no JTMS or P9 here
I do not own mana drain anymore (had a playset once)
no, here is the oracle text: "As long as Winter Orb is untapped, players can't untap more than one land during their untap steps"
I used a similar deck to this, with relic barrier and propaganda instead of stasis and chronatog, at a tournament recently and found that it was pretty weak against control but dominated burn, tribal (elves and vampires were there) and belcher. I like your version alot, why no Zuran Orb and Sol Ring?
ya, the storm works for the +3/+0 I was pretty sure it did, but then the judge here at our store confirmed it when it was called into question ( I suppose he could be wrong but I really doubt it)
I like this deck, it looks fun. already mentioned is Prismatic Omen, and Last Stand would work real well with it. and the treasure hunt idea is excellent.
yes! I like your thinkin
the best part of berserk is the trample so I dont worry about that memnite blockin my 26/2 Kiln, and assault strobe works 100% of the time
well splashing blue has been brought up before and it has merit, but I would go with distortion strike before infiltrate
oh I agree, this isn't a deck I would take to a tournament since it is so reliant on that one common card, however I do like the idea of pumpin up a monster on that third turn when it works, and with the guys I have been playin with and the version of this deck I made for real (2 berserks 2 vitality charms and copperline gorge instead of taiga) I have won almost every game (about a 20-4 record or so by now)
good point
Stoic rebuttal was basicly a Cancel with a perk, but I think I will swap for the turn aside like you suggested. that is a great idea for the Evolving winds, I haddn't thought of it, and it would give me the chance to drop the replicas all together for Aether Adept, Contagion Engine, and arrest. since i will still have a use for the sun titans without sac artifacts
